All in all, giving it a load of moisture and putting it in a peacock twist seems to be the best bet at the moment!
It’s funny that we’ve both got solid waist length by 50 in mind :) I think I’ll have full on white streaks by then, hopefully nice dramatic ones :)
(To the bolded)That is so funny because that is exactly what I do! :D Like exactly. I just came off my straight kick and am back to treating my hair like its wavy. I have straight pieces in my canopy and the underside is usually lots of spiral curls. Its kind of frustrating.
I know what you mean about white streaks. Im interested in what will happen there. Today I took out my hair tie for my braid and I realized all the hairs that came out with it were white! It's still hard to get used to. :)
Right now I am moisturizing and putting it in a bun. I can't wait til its long enough to bun with a hair stick, but luckily scrunchies are back in! I love scrunchie buns. :) And not that I care too much about what's in but for a while it was really hard to find scrunchies.

And Welcome Offie! Yes I agree that it is easier to follow the growth between chin and shoulder. After that it is just: shoulder, shoulder, shoulder, oh below collarbone, but still.. shoulder.. and then some day APL! :D
Thank you Waveurly! I know what you mean about shoulder. It feels like it hides the progress for some reason. Last time I grew my hair out from chin I felt like I was stuck at shoulder for months and then one day I was almost at APL.

Re: Calling all who are growing shoulder to APL!
Hi all!
I have so much white and I'm 36! I'm still dying my regrowth so can forget about it mostly until regrowth haha
I love my scrunchies too! They are so much gentler on my hair than normal hair ties but do add weight which hurts after a while.
I had my hairdresser apt yesterday and she is great never pressures me to cut. She did an olaplex treatment to keep it healthy as we get length. I did cut the front as it's pretty dead , lots or snapping and white dots. Feels good.
I didnt think it had grown from last month but keeping track via photo to prove actyal growth is a great idea to stay motivated

Wow you have had a lot of progress! Like a lot! It looks like you are getting close!
Re: Calling all who are growing shoulder to APL!
I suppose I fit in this club? I dunno if I'm at APL yet, but I have said so a few times because it's approximate.. take a look at this: https://forums.longhaircommunity.com...=1#post3661286 (But scroll down to the last picture, that's this month's pic), what would you call it? I feel like I'm not yet at APL. I want to know your thoughts! :)
Re: Calling all who are growing shoulder to APL!
Looks like you are very very close to APL, if not there already Stardreamer! Your hair looks so pretty :o Welcome to the SL-APL club!

What a great progress! Looks like you're nearly there :flower:
I can feel my ponytail touching my skin at shoulder length already and it makes me happy. My hair finally started feeling long-ish and the texture is getting wurlier too. Seems like my hair really needs to get to a certain length to form their full wave pattern.
Re: Calling all who are growing shoulder to APL!
Stray, I was behind on this thread and just now saw your towel test. That looks like 1.5 to 2 inches left. 2-4 months, not bad!
Happy growing!

Thanks for the support. :flower:
I expet to hit APL sometime in the first half of summer. Can't wait to finally reach that milestone, then BSL and Waist will come very soon, as the distance is oly Half as big as shoulder to APL... Hip to TBL will be another biggie in terms of distances between the milestones, but by then i can just put it up and forget about it.. :)
Re: Calling all who are growing shoulder to APL!
This is my first post! I have been reading this forum for the past month and decided to join after reading all of the helpful advice. My hair is a little below shoulder length. I am growing it out from a chin length bob from March 2018.
So far, I have learned to cut down shampooing from daily to every 2-3 days. I also have been trying to bun or braid more often to protect my hair ends.
