Hah the other day I knocked the back of my hair dryer off & sucked up about 5 ml width of hair strand into the fan – instant dreadlock! So 4 inches length did get chopped off the end of that bit!!! Sad but I got over it.
Other than that Ends are surprisingly good! I thought there would be loads of damage could not believe that people really didn’t cut their hair for so long before lhc & trying it myself.
I am reasonably good to my hair – hair drying is for rare occasions (Especially after the incident!) and only on cool, no heat straightners, no hair brushes, no bleaches/dyes etc.
& I had pixie cut short virgin hair when I first started so no bleach damage to worry about
So I noticed very very few split ends I mean like maybe 5 individual ones in total throughout the growing process so far.
Recently, now that it’s long, I am guilty of putting it up with elastic ties (allbeit soft ones with no seams made from tights) but I definitely snap a few hairs everynow and then with em – so trying to plait it instead.

“now that it’s long”....nice place to be Oh Suzi! Congratulations on reaching APL! I remember you saying you were excited about this milestone because hair starts to look long.
Stray_mind you’re absolutely right too, APL is a big milestone in more ways than one.

Thank you!! Im growing out the bleach, thats why i cut from APL to shoulder.
But now, i cant wait for it to grow

Sid0rela, I did the same thing in October. It feels good to be mostly bleach free.

Figured I would join this thread as I am focused on growing my curly hair to APL and love reading everyone's progress! Makes the journey less lonely :)
Currently when wet/stretched the longest layers of my hair do reach APL (since last month). But with shrinkage it dries all the way back up to collarbone/shoulder length. And that's really what I am focused on, my dry hair length reaching APL. So I am sure I will stay in this thread for a long time lol.
I do have a lot of layers in my hair and plan to eventually even out some of them but not until I reach a length that I am comfortable staying at for a while. Not sure where that will be but for now, its all about growth for me.
I'm excited to join and read in on everyone's updates!

Checked on my length to judge my progress and I'm only about an inch from APL. Almost party time!
