I’ve noticed recently that my hair looks fuller rather than longer. I know that sometimes people with curly hair say that it seems to grow alternately out and down, but I didn't expect it with my texture. I guess that because it’s a bit longer so it can spread further out across my shoulders. It’s all good - further out or further down, I don’t mind :)
My hair does that thing. One month it grows downward, the other one-sideways hahaha.
I can't wait till it gets weighed down a bit at least by length.

I've been in this thread forever, I can't believe I'm ready to move on.
Good luck to all the APL growers, you'll get there sooner or later too!
Congrats! Must be wonderful to move on! Can't wait to be there as well :)
Re: Calling all who are growing shoulder to APL!
With my plan to trim back to SL i think i will stay here till the end of 2019, but i feel it is the right thing to do. My ends look terrible, even though it isn't very obvious in photos.

I’ve just realised why my hair is doing this, it’s reached a point in the wave pattern where it’s just forming the next wave, so the ends are flipping out. I spent so many years thinking my hair was completely straight, this is all new to me!

Maybe! I always thought that my layers are just desperately trying to catch up to my entire length hahaha. My hair just happens to grow in sections.

Lady Stardust that is so exciting! I remember that happening for me when I first grew my hair out.
I finally got a length picture, but it isn't really the best lighting. This cold and dry weather is really straightening my hair. I don't mind though because it's fun to have a different looking texture. I am definitely absolutely at shoulder length now, so that is awesome.

Re: Calling all who are growing shoulder to APL!
Reading renee your hair looks really long, I bet it's even longer when wet. Looking very nice :)
Well I cancelled my hair appt for this week - was going to get a trim - first trim on 7 months!! But I've put it off another month. I'm really happy with the condition of my hair it feels healthier than it has in months, no idea how that happened but I'll take it :)
Re: Calling all who are growing shoulder to APL!
11 months 1 week of hair growth after shaving my head. :) Trying to figure out my type; It used to be super straight as a child but now I can see it's definitely gotten wavier. Not sure if it's 1b or 1c ? Took pic after washing without brushing and letting air dry as per the hair typing guidelines.
Also people leave the weirdest comments on imgur... haha.
