I still have such a long way to grow to APL.
Seems like i have reached a very awkward length stage. I can't really do anything with my hair, other than ponytail or a peacock twist...
My hair is also extremely slippery all of a sudden and i can't make a half up bun. The stick falls right out...
Woah stray_mind that's really coming on! And it's looking so lovely :cheer:
I wonder if a braided half-up bun might have more staying power when your hair's super slippery?

I am almost there as well! I think at the back, it's pretty much there, but the sides are shorter, another 2 inches or so. I have joined the no trimming thread for the last half of the year, so hopefully by that time it will get there! I want the side layers to get to APL.
Hmm, i think if i took a smaller section and braided it, it might do the trick. I'll try it out tomorrow. :)Quote:

The line on my shirt is the next milestone - BSL (bottom of shoulder blades).
Thank you! Unfortunately, this is about as much wave as I’m going to get... It always pulls itself straight once it’s any longer. Oh well, enjoying it now... And who knows, maybe I can eventually figure out a better routine that enhances the waves.Quote:

I can relate! I tried to make a bun today and...nope! Everyday I either do a twist with claw clip, face framing rope braids into ponytail, or a face framing french/dutch braid into a ponytail. Sometimes I switch out the ponytail for a half pull-through bun thingy. Not much else to do!Quote:
