Re: Calling all who are growing shoulder to APL!
Welcome to all the new members of the thread, happy growing :)
I think my favourite hair toy is my ribbon hair tie. I love flexis, but they aren't working so well for me right now.
Re: Calling all who are growing shoulder to APL!
My favorite hair toy at my length is my black claw clip. It's super comfy to wear my hair in a peacock twist at work.

Claw clips are great for this length! I find I'm very picky about the size and shape though, it's amazing how only one seems to do the trick for me, haha!
Growth update: My hair is level with my underarms both in front and back but I'm still a ways away from "passing". I jumped up temporarily this spring to the APL to BSL thread but I had a trim eight weeks ago. Thought I was back at APL, now not so sure...
I was going to call it today officially but I might wait until the end of the summer now.

On a less confused note, I've been loving the ability to do modified buns and real disc buns! I even bought some hair sticks :D
Update/Edit: I plugged the numbers into this excel sheet (thanks to wispe for reviving it) and looked at some of my past growth and decided APL is 23" in for me, which I'll supposedly hit in exactly a month. So I'll check back in at the end of June and then maybe call it!
Re: Calling all who are growing shoulder to APL!
Right now I don't use a lot of hair toys! I mostly just leave my hair down, which I've heard isn't good for your hair but I love feeling my hair. I mean a lot of the times if I go outside and it's windy I typically snatch my dad's hat  Right now, my hair is still two different lengths. In the front it's almost shoulder length, and in the back it's definitely shoulder length. I really like doing two dutch braids and making bobby pinning them together in the back, it looks messy because I just learned how to do it but it really compliments my face shape. :) I hope to be armpit length soon!!!

Thats why I just take mine every few months/informally now; that way I don’t get obsessive and judgey over it (which is a me problem, definitely. I love seeing monthly collages but making one myself just gets to me)

Mine is this fork with a claw on the end I bought at wally world.
Favorite is probably any of my wooden hair forks, but most used right now is bobby pins. I also really like my diy metal hair fork (double-ended knitting needle bent into a U) but I keep losing it. Kind of want to get some Quattro upins, I have a feeling if I had a set they’d be my new workhorse fave.

I am Not too picky, but i do have a style preference, it's the same with all my hair toys. I like simplicity. Flashy, blinged up stuff is not my style, since i am overall very muted person, hahaha.

I am happy that you almost got rid of the heat damage! :) My hair never have been straightened, but I always hate how the hairdressers burn my hair and scalp with their blow driers. They should know a lot about hair and all of who I met was so rough at detangle and mad with their blowdriers.
My favorite hair toys are my claw clip for peacock twist and my jearsy scrunchies for low pony. I can't wait to use forks and sticks, but it seems I need much more length.

Your English is better than mine and English is my first language :) I wouldn’t have know at all
Oh, I was totally puzzled how I write that way. I am so anxious about my English and never got such a compliment you gave me! Thank you!

I am picky too with my claw clips. I have only one what is enough comfy to wear it all day and holds like a rock. I like those what have enough room and don't poke my scalp when I am wearing.
Your hemline is so thick, I think you can just grow without a trim from now! :)
Re: Calling all who are growing shoulder to APL!
This is my hair today on the left And last month on the right
What do you all think can I call it APL officially ?
