Re: Calling all who are growing shoulder to APL!
Corvana well I see shiny, healthy, well-moisturised hair that is growing. Just think - when you get to APL you'll be able to enjoy it even more. :flowers:
SpiderMom how lovely that you can have your own custom made hair sticks! Happy growing :D
I will have to wait for six months for my shortest layer to get to shoulder, so I will be in this forum for quite a while.
Yesterday I tried out a recipe from a book that I saw recommended on here: 'India's Beauty Secrets'. I put one tsp of aloe vera gel and two tbsps of shampoo, along with two cups of water, into a bottle and left it for an hour. Then I washed my hair with the mixture. It feels very light and bouncy today!

And I got it off of Wish actually LOL. I ordered it in like early June? And I got it maybe 3 weeks later or something, and it was like two whole dollars or so? It's very dark in person! Light, a touch bendy (I can push the tines together a little, but not all the way), and the tines actually thicken up a little about halfway down (you can't see it because that's the bit in my lil bun lol). I don't know if it's actual wood, to be honest with you, but it's incredibly smooth with no rough spots or anything. Seems very hair friendly!
I hate when people say that. Brown hair has so much richness to it, so many various shades and it's usually so shiny! I love Wish, I need to splurge again here soon.

I want to prove it to him as encouragement.
Aw that's so sweet!!

Ah thank you! I love my hair in general, but I'm I guess dissatisfied? With the color. More because it used to be auburn and I loved it and now it's not and I'm sad

I generally ignore it, but it's harder from her you know? NGL her saying that about my eye color my literal entire life probably has a lot to do with why I'm unhappy with how my hair has changed color.
Yeah Wish is great lol. I have to hide the app on my phone so that I don't open it all the time and add a billion things to my wishlists
I found the exact fork, though! I thiiiiiink if you search "sandalwood two prong hair stick" you'll find it.

Thanks for the tip! Yeah criticism from parents is the worst, but we're here to tell you that you have beautiful hair, as it is!

Yeah it's the worst! But I was chatting about it in the Random Thoughts thread, and for most people shoulder to APL is the longest stretch before like hip-classic area. And if my milestone measurements are correct, then my milestones are 2-4" apart until TBL, where it pops back up to 6" and stays in that area the rest of the way.
Re: Calling all who are growing shoulder to APL!
I made a terrible mistake and went to look at my old pictures before I had to cut my hair. I was so close to waist and it was nice and healthy :( and now I'm so sad sigh.

Well it'll get there again, absolutely. :grouphug:

So I tried to hold a cinnabun with a fork... It held! For... like 20 minutes before it fell. But because it was slowly unwinding itself it looks huuuge lol. And I figured I'd use it as my updated avatar heheheh.

That is one huge cinnabun! I can easily do a cinnabun, but it is so teeny tiny it's laughable. Yours will be more stable soon, I'm sure.
