You are very right, we have to learn to love our hair as it is, flippiness and all .

Happy to hear that NightSister :)
It is a process for sure; as it grows the texture and type can change.
It is always better to embrace YOUR unique hair, rather than trying to emulate a style society is pushing that decade
Enjoy the journey; your hair looks great :cheer:

Re: Calling all who are growing shoulder to APL!
It's the 21st and it's time for a progress photo, not that I see much of it (my hair just looks more wild). But I am slooowly getting there. If my hair keeps on doing this it will probably take longer than I thought to get to apl.

Re: Calling all who are growing shoulder to APL!
I see a lot of progress ^.
A couple of days ago I was moaning about lack of growth, but it must have grown a bit, because I wore it in a cinnabun yesterday, held by a stick. :surprise::surprise:. Progress indeed.
Re: Calling all who are growing shoulder to APL!
Your hair looks amazing, Estrid! You can totally see the growth, and your curls have become so pretty. I'm a bit jealous here!
Re: Calling all who are growing shoulder to APL!
Estrid your hair looks more full, and definitely a bit longer!
Re: Calling all who are growing shoulder to APL!
It looks beautiful Estrid, and also looks a bit longer :)
Re: Calling all who are growing shoulder to APL!
Thank you, everyone! I suppose I can see some progress if I compare to the first photo (from may) but else my hair just seems more wavy :p
My hair seems to be bit wavier now than it was last time I grew it out (going through old photos), but that might be because they weren't taken on same day where I'd washed my hair, maybe the cut I had was slightly different, or maybe this is all just due to the flippy ends stage. :bluebiggr The difference between the june and july photo are most likely because the june one isn't on wash day, and I probably tried to make it neat by combing it that time, can't remember for sure, but that's what it looks like.
I was at this length last time somewhere around the end of november 2014, and I reached apl in the first half of april 2015, so like 4 and a half months. If I still grow like that, I'll reach apl in december and not october/november like I said earlier.
Re: Calling all who are growing shoulder to APL!
Looking great Estrid~ So full and wavy!
Re: Calling all who are growing shoulder to APL!
Soooo..... if I leave my hair down and hold my arms out, it just reaches armpit length. I've still got another half an inch or so if I go by the towel method. Regardless, I'm going to wait another month or so to make sure I'm solidly there. But-when did this happen?! I'm so excited!
