Yes, I think this is the way to go. I can't be bothered doing my hair at the length it is now and it never looks good if it's not straightened, which I want to eliminate. My hair needs weight from length in order to sit nicely without being styled.

Planning on washing using the CWC method and doing a treatment tonight as well.

Here's my hair, I think I have maybe an inch more to go till APL... It's a bit hard to tell cos my hair varies a bit between straight and wavy

Here's the first length pic I've posted in a while. I think I'm about 2 or 3 inches from APL (at least in the back; in the front it's more like 4 or 5 inches :) )

I tried searching but I'm having trouble... what are best styles for shoulder length hair or hair just a bit past shoulder?? I want to wear my hair up most of the time right now but I don't want the mechanical damage of wearing it up the exact same way all the time.

Your hair reminds me so much of mine! But the hemline is a bit nicer. Do you have any layers?

I have just a few layers to frame my face and a bit in the back for some lift.

Yep, it's been a little over a year now. The last pic in my Progress album is where I started. The back will probably reach APL by Easter, the front a few months later. :cheese:

I'm happy that I can get most of it up now. I will always have new hair at the nape that won't be long enough, and that's okay. I need a bang trim - I'll probably go shorter than last time, since it was no time at all before the bangs were in my eyes again. If I had big eyes that wouldn't be as much of a problem, but I think all that hair overwhelms my face. I guess that's why I've always instinctively liked short bangs. :shrug:
