Re: Calling all who are growing shoulder to APL!
I’m going to throw a party when my hair gets to 17 inches I’ve been stuck in the 16s forever know it’s self inflected I’ve possibly been measuring wrong

Beautiful! With your waves that could be considered good growth.
Thanks so much. :flower:

Your hair looks great o.r.! I really like the waves :D
That's wonderful! :D
It grew really nicely! Your hair color is really lovely too :)
Thank you! The color is weird, it changes depending on lighting, but in that bathroom its usually that color.

It's hard to measure at shorter lengths, at least for myself I find. But yes, celebrate every inch! When I first grew my hair out eons ago I definitely threw a party when it hit 21 inches! That was a record for me! You can do it! :)

My toddler is guilty, lol. His hair is so thick and we're letting it grow long but no matter how perfect it is when he goes to bed, he wakes up a tangly mess due to sweat and moving around.

My routine is minimalistic, for the last half year I've been doing very little. Washing 3 times a week, I use sulfate shampoos, followed by conditioner, once a week a mask. Oiling once 2 weeks. I do not keep products long time on my hair as it is easily weighed down. After the wash I use leave-in and then styling product.
I'm actually in the middle of changing my routine because I noticed recently that my hair has become drier and more tangly as it gained some length. So I'm testing CVC washing and maybe will try using gentle shampoo more often;)
Looks like we have similar hair! I wash twice a week and use a really cheap conditioner from the ears down. After that, I de-tangle with a big comb then use a boar bristle brush to smooth it down to my head and clip it in the back so it air dries smooth/straight except the curly/frizzy ends. Works for me, with minimal products/damage/effort.

OldRocker, your hair has grown since I saw you photo the last time. And the waves really suit you.
Bat, your hair looks great. First I couldn't figure out what it was, but now I see there are no layers, and I think your hair is more shiny and neat when straight, but looks really good slightly waved.
I'm stuck somewhere in pre-APL stage, due to a trim in march and in June. I think about not cutting my hair next 6 months. Or, at least 4 months.

Thanks Agava! I don't know, I was thinking I wouldn't reach APL until the late fall. It would be awesome to be sooner! It also depends on how wavy or straight my hair is that day.
A trim means you have nice ends though! I haven't trimmed for about 6 months and am contemplating not trimming until the end of the year. I think its fun to see how my very uneven hemline grows out over time. It looks less crazy the longer it gets so Im interested to see what happens with it.
Meepster Today I made a sock bun using two scrunchies. One for the "sock" and one to hold it all in place. It came out really nice looking and there is no pulling. New hairstyle for the rotation! Have you tried anything like that? I feel like I remember you used to wear sock buns... is that right?

Thanks! I still have a lot of layers but it seems I’m slowly getting rid of some of them. Join me in no trims in July :D
Re: Calling all who are growing shoulder to APL!
I am getting closer to shoulder length.
