Hello and welcome!
I think many of us realized we want long hair after a haircut. :)
Never mind, now you are sure you want it long again. Me too. :)

You look APL .
I don’t even understand how your friend thought to describe your hair as shoulder length . nks :)
Your shoulders would be oddly close to your boobs otherwise lol
Thank you :) (and LOL!) Sadly, towel test still says no! It's nice that it doesn't look SL any more to people on LHC though :D
(I had to look up nks, and now I've learnt a new thing, thank you! Considering I'm learning German right now, this is extra cool :D )

I keep getting to APL then trimming. I've done it again, but I'm completely dye free now, so it's worth it. It doesn't even feel that short, as long as I don't do the towel test it feels the same. Plus what I lost in length I gained in shape. So feeling more positive, rather than frumpy and scruffy, which I was feeling.
At least we're not alone, eh! To be fair, she did start with "Wow your hair looks so long!" before she said "It's shoulder length!" I think it just looks long compared with the last time she saw it down, seeing as I wear it up most of the time now.
How much did you trim this time? And congrats on getting rid of the dye, I'm really glad you're feeling positive about it.

Congrats, that's brilliant! I'm in awe, I've not managed that yet - I can't get them even.

Re: Calling all who are growing shoulder to APL!
You can definitely see the growth you’ve had clearly
You’re at IMO the hardest part of the journey
When I was where you are I thought I had something wrong with me and that my hair had stopped growing permanently
Growing seemed 0 but actually it was growing it just didn’t look like t and you don’t realise how much length there is to grow in that area
You also get the stage where your ends just flick up and it feels like it will never drop past your shoulders but it does eventually
I’m about APL now and it gets easier to be more chill about it at this length .
I really feel for anyone at the start of this stage
It’s tough but you will get there I promise :)
I thought I was written off hair wise lol

Welcome, welcome! Collarbone length is hard, I’m currently struggling through it myself! I recently had that trim I said I wouldn’t be having, so I lost some length (mostly in the front) but now have a blunt hem, and am finally getting back into just barely bunnable lengths. Which is honestly the only thing getting me though this stage. I want to wear my hair toys again! So close! Just gotta hold on through it.
Have been mostly wearing my hair down to enjoy it at this length (honestly is less damaging to my hair than constant ponytails are, and I want to enjoy my hair down before summer really hits and I start melting). I’m hoping for a good rate of growth this summer! APL seems so far away but I think in a few inches it’ll start to feel longer and that’s all I want right now.
A picture, because it’s looking longer lately

p.s. Congratz on reaching APL, trip! And so close for you, _fred_ :)

Looks lovely, wispe! I love the detail in the half-up buns.

I was going to ask the same, it's so pretty! Also, you'll get through CBL soon enough, wispe :heartbeat It's a tricky length to deal with, I would know lol, but now you can do cute buns! :o
