And now this is where I belong, somewhere between shoulder and apl :

Sadly that picture makes my growth look great because I'm past collarbone at the back and in lower layers, but my shortest layers reach chin (I did a rather drastic chop in about August because of major bleach damage, so my longest layers which brushed shoulder were put back to ear) - this growth is with 4 separate bleaches and a good few box dyes, I have very resilient hair I suppose ! Surprisingly it doesn't feel damaged to touch, mainly because I use a large amount of oils and other treatments.
Please do let me know if I have done something wrong, as I say I have never posted here before.

I agree, I think that the band is a bit too low, and that you're quite close to APL! Welcome to LHC!

Yes, on that photo I'd say the band looks low, and welcome :)

I agree with Emmeline, scarletwitch. You are about an inch away.

Thanks for your help !! Sadly my hair is pretty bouncy when not wet, so it tends to float around an inch lower than shoulder most of the time, although I do have a very small torso (I'm 4"11) so milestones really aren't that far.
Re: Calling all who are growing shoulder to APL!
Hey! I joined just yesterday and my hair is in the shoulder-length area so I figured this would be a nice thread to start with :)

Welcome to the forum and this thread. :)
Re: Calling all who are growing shoulder to APL!
So I wrapped a towel around my armpits the other day and measured it and discovered that APL on me is 22", not 23" as I'd previously thought. So I'm only 4" away instead of 5"...still a long way to go but I'm that much closer to my first milestone.
Re: Calling all who are growing shoulder to APL!
Thanks :) I've been aware of this place for ages, so I'm pretty excited about finally joining it.
Re: Calling all who are growing shoulder to APL!
I've done some calculations and based on last years length gain I should be at APL in 6-7 months. However, counting in that I won't be trimming my hair in the next few months [which I did last year], the improvements in my ends and overall hair quality, aswell as the changes I've made to my hair routine I'm hoping I'll be there "way" sooner. :) The lack of trimmings alone could lower it to 5 months.
