Re: Calling all who are growing shoulder to APL!
Hi, a newbie joining in this thread! I cut my hair to a little past chin length bob last April. I got rid of almost all the damaged parts of my bleached hair (and a buzzed nape undercut was long enough for the bob), so after it I've finally been able to actually gain some length. I have some layers and my bangs are a little bit shorter than CBL, and I hate them because they make my hair feel like it's a lot shorter than it actually is. They also gain length very slowly because they got a lot of damage 1,5 years ago. Right now I'm past collarbone and I really hope to reach APL before August 2017. I just did a towel check and it looked like my hair was only ~10 cm away from the towel. My hair grows about 1 cm a month, but biotine and msm have helped me before so I've got a positive feeling about this. Also new babyhairs are sticking out of my scalp, yay for that too! :happydance:
But still... this length is just so FRUSTRATING.
Re: Calling all who are growing shoulder to APL!
Welcome jokujanni (jee/yay another Finn!) and congrats on new baby hairs!

I have been keeping one foot in this thread forever due to various reasons: trimming a lot this year, having a months long stall, and learning a correct head position which made my hair appear visually shorter ... the sort. But now I will bow out completely and take my foot with me. My hair is at the APL line with correct head posture too.
Happy growing everyone, I will probably hang at the next thread the next 9 years (unless I cut before that!) because I have no intentions to grow longer than BSL :D See you there!
Re: Calling all who are growing shoulder to APL!
I feel like I'll bald before I reach APL :/
I'm still losing so much hair with every wash (my shower wall looks like someone was scalped), and to top it off, I've got major, I don't even know what to call them, chunks of build-up? My scalp is so itchy all over, but especially behind my ears, at my hairline (which I know is eczema), and at the base of my skull.
So scratch the going bald thing...I may just shave my head in frustration!!

I can't seem to get it to upload correctly, but I am SO CLOSE to APL dry and BSL stretched.
Re: Calling all who are growing shoulder to APL!
Finally posting my "graduation picture". This is my progress since March 1 of this year -- with about 2" of trims since then. I've dropped in on the APL to BSL thread but now I'm making it official!

Congrats!
Today is measuring day, my first measuring day without straightening my hair! Now if only I could get myself go wash my hair before some ungodly hour tonight...
Re: Calling all who are growing shoulder to APL!
I am the worst - I did eventually wash my hair that night and if I stretch my hair out it's APL, hooray! I will get action shots I just couldn't because my husband was already asleep...
I don't want to leave this thread quite yet, I like you guys! Technically if I don't stretch my hair I'm not APL
Re: Calling all who are growing shoulder to APL!
Due to my measurings and towel tests, I am already at APL :cheer:, but I want to wait until next week too, then I'll take a nice picture to make sure. I don't want to leave this thread, everyone here is so amazing and nice, and ready to help everyone with tips and exchange hairstyle ideas. I love everyone here! :crush:

Hold on, don't do anything rash! You will recover. What is the trigger for the eczema? Pure aloe and a steroid cream may help with that.

It looks to be about an inch left. Nice hair and color, BTW.

Awww! If I did it unstretched, I would never leave this thread.;)

Aww! I am surprised you haven't posted a ponytail pic, yet.

Looks not quite shoulder, but definitely is past shoulder when wet. Those curls are pesky to define length it seems! Not sure what my goal is, just want to see how long it will get because I've never had it much longer than this in my life!
