I cut off all my heat damaged and processed hair to start fresh. It’s so healthy, shiny and bouncy again! Like it regained life. No regrets and I’m finally excited again to grow it out!
I saw your post on the MBL to waist thread and was wondering.
Your hair looks great- very voluminous, wavy, and shiny!

Thank you! I oil to prevent breakage, so I hope there isn't any!

Secret Soup - looking good! Your ends (and hair overall) really reminds me of my own. I suspect my ends get stringy and thin from a combination of breakage and a short growth cycle (eg: most hairs fall before they actually grow past shoulder.) Every time I grow I give up and chop because of the stringy ends. Or, if I happen to have the resolve to ask for "just a trim" the hair dresser chops me major... This go-around I'm going to be as diligent as possible.
Bat - Looking good! There's some real progress going on.

I'm feeling a little wishy-washy about my progress. I've really leaned into the curly gurl method these last two months and while seeing myself with spirals is fun, it makes my hair seem so short. I might treat myself to wearing it straight one day soon just to check my actual progress.

Thank you! I sure hope it's not breakage! I refuse to chop though! We can do this! :beerchug:

Curly hair is like having surprise length convertible hair. So, you're always further ahead than you think you are! When my hair was really curly (anywhere from 3a to 4a), I would impress people by pulling on my curls and streeettchhiiing them out LOL
