Are there similar methods for other milestones? Maybe a towel around the waist? I can't do those tshirts with the lines on them.
Yeah, this has been a common method for as long as I have been here (7 years I think?) And yes, you can use a towel for everything above hip I would suppose. I do a towel for APL and BSL (under the bust).

I'm using a yoga strap instead of a towel. I guess you could use anything that can wrap around you.
Its pretty exciting when you wrap your towel or whatever and feel that some hair is caught under it- milestone achieved!

Today after henndigo.
Hair is a mess because I didn't apply any product after the dyeing, as recommended. So kind of " naked hair challenge " today as well.
APL on dry it is;)

I used to do a small claw clip for BSL. Just clip it on my bra strap over my shirt. Then when my hair touched the clip or came over it, I would call BSL

It is really exciting! Can't wait for that moment. :)
Re: Calling all who are growing shoulder to APL!
Thanks for the milestone measuring ideas!
I must be slow; none of these things ever occurred to me (especially since I don't actually wear a bra...TMI LOL)!
Edited: I forgot to add; I did the towel wrap for APL earlier...and I'm looking at July 2022 at least shudder:

Yep, shoulder to apl usually takes about a year so you are on track!

That's actually good news then! I had assumed I was a below-average grower.
Re: Calling all who are growing shoulder to APL!
Making some progress. I think I'm a couple inches past collarbone now. :)

Nope! Anything above half an inch is average to fast growth
Re: Calling all who are growing shoulder to APL!
I've also tried wrapping the towel around me and it looks like I'll reach APL in 2-3 months.
A friend of mine (I haven't seen her in one year and a half) was very surprised how long my hair grew (it was at chin length the last time she saw me). Although it's not 'long' hair, the compliment made me feel really good about my progress :).

Gosh, when you hang around here anything above BSL can seem short. Yet it's long out in the wild! Congrats on your length and growth progress!
