Re pointless ranting: I sort of did the same, but with the mirror. I won't allow myself looking at the back of my head to see if the back has grown yet. I didn't like what I saw, because my hair is still short as hell. I'm also lamenting my inability to forget about hair for a few weeks. Not really enjoying my grow out process, I'm too obsessed by my hair, never experienced anything like this. However, I know I'm not the only one and it helps that others are also freaking out about their hair haha.
Update hair: the back of my head is still the same length as in my avatar, which was taken in February! The sides + my fringe is growing but the back...not so much. Aaaargh!

Yes, it helps a lot to know I'm not the only one obsessing :grouphug: Getting this hair crazy isn't something someone outside TLHC would understand. Should we keep each other accountable so we won't check our hair constantly and keep getting frustrated :D

Haha, it's great talking to you guys, I really like the support we give each other no matter what. I wouldn't dare explaining my hair journey to anyone else IRL, everybody would just roll their eyes and laugh. Everybody else seems really content with their hairstyles, I used to be one of those people :) until I got the hair fever!

I am in the same boat. My bangs have grown from eyebrow to tip if nose since my last visit to my hairdresser (almost 2 inches) but the rest of my hair looks unchanged. It is making me feel like a crazy person.
There is no way that itty bitty patch of bang hair grows so much faster than my other hair, right?!?

I hear y'all, obsessing and checking constantly (which I am super guilty of) becomes stressful and discouraging. Its hard not to obsess though when all one can think about is getting longer hair! I just keep telling myself by end of this year I should get to this milestone and I just keep that in mind when I get frustrated with myself and my hair.
I'm the opposite with regards to bangs and shorter layers...ugh. I haven't touched my bangs since summer of last year and they seem to barely grow. I just want to even out my layers someday and it is harder when the top of my head grows slower. I just resolve to half ups when I want to wear my hair down. oh well.

Yeah this is very much "a watched kettle never boils" situation. I'll start my challenge again from this day. Day 1 of no checking my length.

I gave up on checking my length, because due to my awkward texture it looks like it never grows. I am even considering checking my length every few months, after i take my Last monthly length shot at the end of April.
