Re: Calling all who are growing shoulder to APL!
Does it count when my hair hits APL soaking wet?
Did I make it?!

I think you decide it for yourself :) you made it if you feel you made it. It's a big milestone, congrats!! :blossom: :joy:

That's up to you! Mine does too and personally I will wait until it's a very solid, dry, towel test APL to 'officially' call it, but I think of it as APL. Congrats!
I know we've talked about it earlier in this thread, but I love how much difference a few inches make at this length. It looks, moves and feels so different! Yesterday I put my hair in a ponytail after wearing a bun for two months or so, and it suddenly does the swishy thing again! Ponytails has been my go to style for years and when I chopped to CBL I was bummed out at how short and 'round' it suddenly was, and now it feels a lot more like my old pony.

My hair is starting look like it's at APL. It almost feels like long hair again! But it's still not there when I do a length check. Oh hair can you please grow a little faster, please :whip: I want to be there already
Re: Calling all who are growing shoulder to APL!
My hair is very close, but still feels short. :(

I decided, I'll call it when its dry, although it may even be longer by then because my curls eat up length.

Same here, but its still a victory and a milestone of its own to reach APL while hair is wet.
I am at APL when my hair is wet and stretched but once its dry and curls up, its not close. I want to call it when I reach APL with my hair dry including shrinkage due to curls. That's when I will feel like I have graduated from APL goal lol.

Yeah I wish. My hair will be butt-length stretched before it's APL unstretched. My shrinkage is just not even logical :afro:

I hear ya, shrinkage is frustrating. And I also get that for some its worse than others. I am seriously hoping that the longer the hair, the more stretched out the curls will be due to just the weight of the hair. And that the growth rate will feel like it has increased due to actual growth + stretched out from weight of hair. Ill take the illusion of faster growth any day lol.
My hair in my avatar is with my hair only half way dry. Once it fully dries it does shrink up to about CBL.
Re: Calling all who are growing shoulder to APL!
Ughhh i am so close yet so far away. I estimated i'll be there in around two or three months, well, at least my longest bits should be there.
But i am finally able to make an LWB, which will definitely be my go to bun now. :)
Happy growing, everyone and Congrats to our graduates!
