Yeah it's a good idea to start off in a good position. I only decided to grow once I had a healthy trim so my hair wasn't bothering me.
I will impress myself, too! I've gone 2 years without trims several times so I'm assuming if I S&D occasionally and avoid damage, I can go longer. Fortunately, I have relatively thick and healthy hair. I might "cheat" and go to a long hair salon if necessary (like if my hair is looking like a disaster lol). I will likely allow myself 3 small trims (1-2 inches). I mostly just want to try to find my terminal length and experience super long hair (Classic+). I will most likely end up cutting back to a shorter length when I find terminal. I'm just keeping my eye on the prize. The quicker I get there, the quicker I can do more stuff with my hair haha

I'm getting a little annoyed by my ends. My layers are all poofy and it just doesn't look good when I wear my hair down. I would like to get to APL before evening up my hemline a little. It's finally long enough to make buns and braids again, and I don't really wear my hair down that often anyway... To actually get rid of all the fuzzy layers I would have to cut back to almost shoulder again, which is definitely not an option.
Perhaps I just need to start another wear-it up challenge and keep it up for the next 2.5 months...
Yes, you can do it for 2.5 months! The time will fly by and you won't regret it.

ynne, your hair looks amazing on avatar!
On my side...I'm extremely busy and tired, and my hair routine is changed a lot. I have to wash my hair every day due to my job, and I'm so tired that I don't even look how does it looks. I just collect it in some quick updo and that's it. Today I combed my hair after 6 days, and it already looked longer, judging from a front. Can't wait end of the month to do comparison at the end of the month.

Thanks!! :) I'm just going to wear it up until january, and then I'll decide if I want to trim inch or so. It should be much closer to APL and if the ends are still bothering me it would probably be better to trim once and than grow again for at least 6 months.
2 years is really impressive!! With your plan it sounds like you should be able to get to classic before you know it :).

That's a great plan!
Thank you! I hope so.

OMG If my terminal is past floor, I don't think I will continue growing lol But one gets attached to their hair so it would be hard to want to cut hair that long! Knee length hair is a really cool spot. It's plenty long but it's not longer than you!

So I'm much closer to APL than I thought. I think I must have had a growth spurt? My monthly measurements haven't been more than usual. I guess I miscalculated how long APL is on me. I'm a few washes away at this point. But this is what happens when you avoid trims lol That's what I'm always preaching on this forum!!! TRIMS ARE A SCAM (well not really but that's how I feel sometimes haha).
Re: Calling all who are growing shoulder to APL!
Your hair does look close to APL!
Funny how it grows when you’re not paying attention, haha. Like a watched pot

That's the perfect analogy.

Woohoo! Look how close you are, and I agree knee is a great length, I hope to get there someday! But my first "impossible goals" Is hip,

I should never start using it. My pots should definitely be watched until they boil. I am notorious for forgetting bowling pots for up to 2 hours and returning to the most horrible burnt messes. I destroyed two kitchen items like that just this past summer. ADD fml.
Then again, it WAS indeed how my hair grew to hip in the first place without me even wanting it long, so I can attest to it as well.

It's super close!!
Maybe it's growing quicker since it only has to grow down, instead of curving over shoulders and shoulder blades? So not really quicker, but the increased length is more visible.
Your hemline looks so full and healthy as well, you definitely don't need any trims soon :).
