Today when I was getting dressed, I did the towel test and with dry hair, my hair is actually a little bit past APL stretched! However, I want it to be APL dry and not stretched so I don't consider myself APL yet. But, it was a nice milestone and made me feel a little excited this morning. It's nice to see progress.
Those cute little waves of yours are eating up the length!! :inlove:

Aww thanks Oxalis! yeah it seems like they do even when my hair isn't having a very wavy day. I like my waves except when I am trying to grow my hair out.

ReadingRenee - Wow, getting so close! I don't think I'm even at 20" yet. My hubs is my measurer and he's not great at it. Plus my layers/curls make it difficult. Oh well.

I have about an inch to go to reach cbl which is 3 odd months away z

It will probably seem to take you longer because you have short hair at the front... does your hair from the back need to angle forward to touch your collarbones rather than falling straight down?
Re: Calling all who are growing shoulder to APL!
Yeah I have to bring the side forward, I think, my display picture is my hair from the back

Congratulations, that's awesome!
Re: Calling all who are growing shoulder to APL!
The hair stick I ordered from ArtofNidavellir on Etsy came yesterday! It's shorter than the one I've been borrowing from my sister for half-updos, so I wasn't sure if I would be able to use it yet—but I tried using it to hold up my usual bun, and it worked:

I don't have long enough hair for it to stay yet (it starts falling out if I move around too much) but already it's super fun to pull out the stick and feel my hair swing down all at once. Much more satisfying than taking down a scrunchie. I didn't think I'd be able to use hair sticks for buns at all until at least APL, so it's really exciting to discover that I can! I can't wait until my hair is long enough for it to be really secure.

Maybe play around with the angle that you insert it and how much hair you grab.
You might find that you can get it to hold.

Can I join the thread? I had a biggish chop recently to get rid of all my coloured ends... so my hair is now all natural colour yay! It's also way shorter than I like, let the growing process begin (again)!
