Yes! Look at those "tail feathers"! Thank goodness our hair is long enough to put up... moments before the Queensland summer.

Re: Calling all who are growing shoulder to APL!
Well I. Might not be here for long I tried to cut some damage out and bleach my sides, it's a disaster my hair is a complete mess had to shave my sides down a bit because I cut this weird chunk out of it, I feel like I should start over honestly
Edit: the top layer is stuffed but under its OK so I think I can just get the top layer cut off, while still keeping most of the length

Fake bun-

That's a gorgeous fake bun! Maybe its because of the thickness of your hair, that your peacock twist looks that way.

Maybe post a picture before you go all drastic! It might not be as bad as you think! I have also accidentally cut weird chunks out of my hair before but it wasn't as noticeable to everyone else as I thought it was.

I can't believe it myself, but I am graduating from this thread! Today, I checked my hair length and I am exactly at APL. See y'all in the APL->BSL thread!

Hooray!! Congratulations, meepster! I’m curious - have you been experimenting with any new styles as it’s gotten longer?

Aww, thanks. Spun sugar is such a nice way to put it. My ends are a bit crunchy from highlights in September 2019 but I only have a very few inches of that hair left so once I start trimming, I should be able to get some moisture back in to my ends and some of the "crazy" out of them. I'll try not to get discouraged but since my hair does curl/pouf, it feels like it takes forever to notice any growth. It has been 11 months of this journey and I don't yet have what I consider to be long hair. It'll take another year but I definitely need at least one good trim in the next year.
