And to answer your question, yup it is! ;) I'm transitioning to natural texture from relaxed, so the very ends are still quite straight, but now I have a ton of "volume" at the top :p
Right now the curl is sucking up about 1.5" of hair!
Wow, that is a lot of spring! It will be worth it though, all that natural, healthy, lovely curl :)

Re: Calling all who are growing shoulder to APL!
Ugh! I just found an old video of myself from last winter (pre LHC) when I had APL hair... and I didn't appreciate what I had :'(
The longest my hair has even been in my life, and I chopped it all off! What a pain.

Sigh

Wow, that is awesome Katleen! I love the '50s vibe with the scarf.

It's great when it starts to feel long again! And it really doesn't look so short.

It has grown about 6 inches since I last measured it in March, but the length is all uneven because the last time I had it cut was a long bob... so I might have to get it evened out sometime soon.
I usually wash my hair two times a week, at the moment it gets greasy really quickly because it picks up sunscreen from my face and neck :/ I use shampoo on my roots and conditioner all over. I do chemically dye my hair, because I have yet to find a Henna-red that has the blue tinge I really want. The last part of the picture was today, apologies in advance: it really needs a wash. I just wanted to show the length and will probably update with a freshly washed picture ASAP.
anyway, here goes:

I also bought a wig to see what it might look like and I love it ^^

When I first looked at this I thought you'd got your dates wrong, I thought the last picture was your actual hair, it's so realistic! It looks great on you anyway, your current colour is lovely but the pink is amazing! It really suits you long too.
Re: Calling all who are growing shoulder to APL!
Hello everyone. I suppose my hair is almost shoulder length with layers so I'm joining this thread too. My layers are so badly cut that they seem to cause my ends to flick out violently like a retro sixties 'do. I'm hoping that once they grow past shoulder they'll stop doing this!

Hi there, I also have bad layers and they do the same - nightmare! Though saying that I think all the layers I've ever had have done it too, whether good or bad.

I know exactly what you mean! I'm wondering if I could do a better DIY job than my hairdresser.
Re: Calling all who are growing shoulder to APL!
Well, my hair feels absolutely DISGUSTING. It's all stringy and coated :(
I got a cheap plastic pitcher today to fill with purified water to wash my hair with, but I forgot to add a little ACV and I have a gross mess... AGAIN. It's starting to feel better as it dries, but I don't think it'll feel anything resembling "good" until I can shower again. And that probably won't be until at least tomorrow morning.
EWWWW!!!

:grouphug: I'd put it up and stick a scarf on it til you can sort it out.
Re: Calling all who are growing shoulder to APL!
I know how you feel Bunnysaur. I ended up doing a deep oil treatment today cause I accidentally got carried away with the castor oil on my scalp, so I doused the rest of it with olive oil, put it up in a plastic cap and towel wrap for a few hours, then CO washed it out. Only I don't think the CO wash got it all, because I can still smell the castor oil and it still looks greasy at my roots, even though it doesn't necessarily feel greasy. I'm thinking I'm going to end up having to wash it again tomorrow to really get the oil out.
