That's the first time I've ever heard of something like that. Hair sure is fascinating.
Now I wonder how my hair grows when it gets longer.

My hair is trolling me, it looks shorter than it did a month ago
My wet hair is DEFINITELY past shoulder, but not armpit length yet. But I'm happy with my progress, my hair is definitely getting longer.
@Bat- Wow! Your progress is amazing.
@Death-Within-Me - you are truly stunning! And your hair is amazing. I get what you mean about the weird growth. My face framing hairs seem to grow longest, but just past them (like by my ears if I brush my hair straight down) don't grow (or maybe break?) so I always have a hole on that side. Its weird.
Hi, friends! Haven't stopped by much lately as I've been away from home a lot. I spend a lot of time in the summer in a high humidity town near the ocean so I basically have to give up on my hair. The back of my head instantly turns 3C. But it's not consistent all over, and it's too short to wear truly curly. Sigh.
I was really happy with my growth and how my hair looked about a month ago. But all of a sudden now my ends feel crunchy and tangled. I guess I need a trim. I also realized I have a satin pillowcase at home but not at the place I spend a lot of time in summer so I just ordered one. While I was at it, I bought an actual hair brush for wavy hair and some hair product to try. I'm such a "set it and forget it" person but what inevitably happens is past shoulder length it gets dry and unruly and I give up and chop it. This time around I'll actually attempt to learn to care for wavy hair.
Pic of what happened when I went outside, lol

Really? And here I’m thinking it’s super slow
Maybe you need to clarify?
My hair does that too when I go visit the beach (goes from 2a/2b to 3b/3c)! I wish I could live by the ocean.
Beautiful curls! I personally don't ever brush or comb my wurls, but that is mainly because my hair is suuuuper fine. I have to finger-comb.
My pillow is causing breakage and I recently started oiling the ends to help with that. So far, it seems to be helping!
Death-Within-Me, I definitely think you've graduated! Congrats, Grad!! :graduate:
