Re: Calling all who are growing shoulder to APL!
This may have been covered elsewhere in the thread but, you know, 965 pages is a lot to sort through -- what are everyone's preferred "hair safe" styles for this sometimes-awkward length? For me I usually do a variation on a French twist and stick a Flexi 8 through it, but it's not terribly fancy. :\ Anybody have creative ideas?
(I know it also totally depends on thickness, particularly around shoulder length -- I have very thin hair)

Check out my blog for some ideas. (use the categories or tags for finding relevant posts more easily, or there are few links to collection type of posts under my blog's header.
Re: Calling all who are growing shoulder to APL!
As someone still growing out layers, my longest at about APL and the shortest just past shoulder, it makes for interesting mornings. i try to vary it up, but would often make a loose cinnabun, kind of squishing it vertical and clipping it with a lobster clip around the sides. When i started i could fit my entire bun inside, now its nearing the end of being comfortable; but in a pinch it works for work and stays until i take it down
(an aside, i might be maintaing here to grow out those pesky layers)

Two Dutch braids with the same nods tucked under each other or a peacock twist held by two clips (my thickness makes two clips much more comfortable than one.)
Re: Calling all who are growing shoulder to APL!
I'm about 2.5 inches past shoulder now but my growth rate has slowed down from an inch a month to half an inch...yet another reason to dislike the cold weather :(
Re: Calling all who are growing shoulder to APL!
Dry and stretched, my longest layer is at 21.5" That is APL on me. Yay!
Re: Calling all who are growing shoulder to APL!
Feeling like I'm not ever going to make it. I measured at 19 1/4 last week.

Oh, yes, Arctic is very skilled at styles and they are so fun to try out!
