I just realized I'm not too far from APL! Okay I still have quite a bit to go, but I'm also in the 'APL by Christmas' thread and wasn't sure if I'm going to make it. But I think I will! I might just make it before Christmas :) It's a bit shorter in the back I think, but still. APL in 10 months? I think yes! :)
You'll definitely be APL by Christmas! I hope I'm there, too. Might join that thread with you, hehe!

I agree Oktobergoud -- you'll definitely make it. I don't think that I will... my curls eat up my length. I swear it's getting shorter!
I got my first hair fork - yay! I didn't think I would be able to use it until my hair got a bit longer, but it works wonderfully! :joy: I love how easy it is to put my hair up ('bye scrunchie!) and how securely it holds.

It does look a bit like a child trying on her mother's shoes, but I'll grow into it :D
Re: Calling all who are growing shoulder to APL!
I took a look last night, and the bottom part of my hemline is indeed past APL. But I think I'd like to stay here for just a bit longer until I'm more solidly at APL... which should only be about a month because I'm about a half inch away from being APL all-around.
So come the end of March, I'll be heading off to the APL -> BSL thread. :)

Re: Calling all who are growing shoulder to APL!
I figure with my curly crazy I will stay here till I am visually APL but also put a toe into APL to BSL if such a thread is around. I have till at least June to hit anything APL so it'll be awhile yet for me.

ha ha ha! I can manage half-ups, and my buns are about the size of a quarter! I love it!
Re: Calling all who are growing shoulder to APL!
Neecola, that fork and your hair are looking great!
I just ordered some spin pins. I wonder if I will be able to use them. I managed to put my hair up with two sticks yesterday so my hopes are high. I actually love it how each new centimeter of hair seems to give more options to put it up. :)
Re: Calling all who are growing shoulder to APL!
Thanks guys :)
& Neecola, that is so cute haha! I love your bun :)

It's wonderful to finally be able to wear my hair completely up without a million bobby pins! Small victories :)

Thank you for the compliment :flower:
I think you will enjoy the spin pins. They're great for being able to pin back without the flat look I get from bobby pins. Also, the hold is fab!

I have to use 3 or 4 spin pins in a cross or X formation to hold a bun in, mostly because of all the bits that stick off it as it twists even with a blunt hemline, but they do work! (Fortunately I have some in a brass colour that's not too far off my new copper colour, so they don't stand out so much.)
