I don't expect much, but I hope for a lot. I haven't had any product do any miracles yet, the only big difference I've ever noticed when it comes to my hair is is I replace shampoo with conditioner, this cleansing conditioner seems to have the same effect, and that still doesn't do anything for the hair ears down. It will be nice to try something new, and types of products that I've never tried before. Hopefully at least one of them should do something nice.
I am a bit concerned about my hair not absorbing what these products might give, even though my hair is dry and on the coarse side it does not want to absorb products that well. All I can do for now is hope that these products I bought do something.

Am I the only person suffering headaches if I wear my hair up. I used to wear it up when it was long occasionally and never got headaches but now it's like I just can't
When it comes to cutting, that's entirely up to you. You could also microtrim, maybe? I'm not sure how easy that would be at this length, I know I'd have some problems with it.
As for headaches, I definitely get those! I actually have noticed they're more likely when my hair is dirtier (I wash once a week right now), since I can pull it back a little tighter then and my hair is more likely to just sort of stay where it is instead of move around, which will lead to scalp soreness which leads to a headache. I tend to just take my hair down and redo it after a couple minutes, or just take a bit of tylenol. I've noticed the headaches taking a little more time to actually show up, so I'm hoping that I'm sort of training my scalp to get used to having my hair up so much.

It's up to you ofcourse but personally when I think about it, it is a temptation for myself as well to cut of damaged ends and its so much harder to keep on growing, I'd wait until arm pit length or a tiny bit longer because it would be so satisfactory to have reached a goal and then just cut a little bit off. Cutting is easier and quicker as growing so it might be worth the wait :) But it's your decision ofcourse this is just my thought!
And whenever I have my hair up, I get a sore head too. Not really headaches though but my hair is not quite long yet so it's only up in a ponytail. I do feel that the more often I do it, the more my hair/head gets used to it. But when I can't take it anymore, I just take it down or do a low ponytail.

Lately my hair has gotten so big it's embarrassing. It's growing outward instead of downward. The humidity here isn't high, and I haven't changed my products or routine. I don't know what's going on; I only know that I don't like it.
Re: Calling all who are growing shoulder to APL!
spidermom, outward growing hair is the story of my life. You have my sympathy.

Ugh no fun. A new set of wave in your wave pattern, perhaps? Like, the waves were perfect for going more downward at SL, but now that it's creeping down more, more wave is coming and it's on an uptick instead of downturn? So if you grew through it, it'd settle back down again?
 I don't know how wavy hair works I'm just guessing :rollin:

I feel like this is me, too! I can see that my hair is thickening up, but I'm at the stage where it seems to be growing "up" from my shoulder. I've got this annoying "flip" back there and I'm not sure how to fix it since I don't heat-style anymore. I know it needs some more weight down there to pull it down but man, this is a frustrating stage to be at!
Wishing you the best!

(this might not be very on topic for this thread, but since I mentioned the products here, why not share)
I tried all the products today! Or well, not the deep conditioner, but the other products (new shampoo, conditioner, styling potion and solution...and a spray).
My hair really did get more wavy from this (I do believe the scrunching contributed a lot), but I did break the rule "don't touch it until it's dry", I had to go to work and it took longer to dry with the products in it, so the front turned out weird since I had to clip it away from my face, but the back looks quite nice, sure does look wavier.

And these two... The photo on the left is right when i got home and the one to the right after I sprayed some of that spray in it, no idea what exactly is "does", but I think I like it.

The top image turned out huge, I'm sorry, I tried to resize it but for some reason it just stays big.

I see the difference, Estrid. Your hair is adorable and looks so soft.
Re: Calling all who are growing shoulder to APL!
Your hair looks lovely. Estrid. And the spray seems to have added some definition to your waves. It's so pretty.
