hi! welcome back!
I recently mentioned my hair style posts I had made for this length and alas, I have to take my words back now. This is due to Photobucket changing their TOS and me losing all my photos I had posted online. I don't plan to repost them so my old posts are practically useless now without the photos.
It's super crappy that they've done this. On one hand I get why, but on the other it's been literally what? Over a decade at least (my account was created in 2005!) of free hosting allowing hotlinking and image posting elsewhere. And then out of the gosh darn diddly blue they're wanting four hundred US dollars a year (in a yearly payment as well!!) to continue doing so. I'm just like "RIP photobucket, you lived a long time" because they are going to die. But they've shown to the rest of the image hosting sites what not to do, at least!
Thank you! So far I'm at kind of a slow start. Because of my hair being extremely finicky and wanting to escape any kind of hairdo besides a high or low ponytail with a scrunchie, I am having a lot of breakage already. Lots and LOTS of flyaways and in general hair's sticking up all over. Nothing tames them. I'm also struggling with stopping breakage while combing but once my hair gets longer I'll actually be able to do buns once again and have less grabby hair. :toast:
WOAH, $400? That's ridiculous. Arctic, I'm sorry they pulled that on you. I can understand not wanting to repost all the images.
I'm sorry about the breakage, ouch D: I'll keep my fingers crossed that it gets long enough soon that you can just bun it.
I am so so soooo happy that I never used photobucket, I'm so shocked that they decided to do something like that shudder: do they want everyone to abandon their website?? I can't picture anyone willing to pay 400 dollars for something like that, it's crazy!
I just realised that I can do a twist hairstyle using two hairsticks, not sure why I never even tried that last time I grew my hair out. It feels way more secure to use a fork or a claw clip, but it works.
I think I'm right about 2in from apl! So excited.
O my god, what's that with photobucket!? I was just about to spend a lot of time on recreating a new account to put up all of my hair pictures in a nice overview. So I'm guessing I better refrain from doing that? (I know it's offtopic, but any other recommendations for a good hosting site, by any chance?)
I've been using imgur.com just fine.
Imgur is really nice imo, easy to use. Be careful not to click that "share to community" button though, I did that by accident once  woke up to a bunch of strangers commenting on my face.
You can also change the settings so that only you can view your albums etc, others can still view images that you link to.
