emilylightening- It looks like you're there to me!
cat11- Your's is a little more difficult to call obviously. Have you tried the towel test thing? I'm thinking about doing that just to see exactly how much farther I have to go.
Is that where you put a towel under your armpits to get the length line??
I just went to the bathroom and did that and the hair reached a little past the edge of the towel in the front and in the back too. Maybe I'm done!!!! Well, with this goal. I'm thinking yes if I passed the towel TEST, since it is test after all
cat11- Passed with flying colors I would say!
I just took a look and have somewhere between 2" and 3" to go. Darn this long neck and torso of mine! If, by some miracle, I am able to keep up my monthly 1" of growth I should be there before long. I'm shooting for the end of March but we'll see.
^1 inch a month! Thats awesome, thats a whole foot a year!If I could grow hair that fast I would probably be nearing waist in 2015.
I am officially graduating from the thread! It has been nice, people :)
Judging by my roots, i am one more centimeter closer to APL.. Can't wait till i reach it.. I've been stuck at this shoulder and below lenght forever....
I have a long neck and torso as well. It took me nearly a year to get from shoulder (stretched) to APL-ish (stretched)! The only thing we have going for us, is that our hair is technically longer at "shorter" milestones, and we can do more with it at the "shorter" milestones. [Such as being able to do styles that are typically considered APL styles at our awkward not-yet-APL length]
Congratulations! See you soon in the APL to BSL thread :D
Hi all, a little while ago I chopped from waist when wet to about collar bone length to get rid of damage. I LOVE having short ish hair for now, but i'm having a hard time finding a way to put my hair up without it making my scalp really sore! I have super thick hair with a bit of layering so braids are basically impossible at this point. My hair feels 10x heavier now than it did at waist length! Has anyone else had this problem?
@emilylightning: wow, great progress! You are pretty much there, I would say!
I'm really happy to see everyone is growing so nicely! Things are going great with my hair growth too -- I'm really happy with being allllmost at APL too! I should be there by late spring I think :)
While I wait I’ve been pampering my hair and trying out some new products! Yesterday I tried cassia obovata for the first time! I was nervous to try something unfamiliar but I ordered it from Henna Sooq online and tested it out. I mixed 100g with some warm water and a bit of melted coconut oil. I let it sit for about an hour, and then spread the mix over my hair for 5 hours.
I absolutely love the results. It really does make your hair feel shinier and thicker! I have medium blondish hair and I haven’t noticed a colour change (they say it may add yellow tones). It’s so shiny that it looks like gold, so maybe that’s what they mean!
So yeah, I would recommend it! Henna Sooq seems to have a good quality organic product as well.
