Hey! Thanks for remembering :)
Yeah, I went and they re-coloured it for free with a red toned very dark brown. It has been about 3 weeks now, I think, and whilst it is still rinsing out a little red (it was a semi permanent dye) my ends now look more chesnut brown than green!

That explanation makes perfect sense but I do remember a few members who had hennaed long-term and had to lighten their bangs (which they heat-styled daily) to match the rest of their hair. The theory was that the heat had something to do with the darkening of the color. Not sure if there's any science behind it but I'm a-feared to take a chance as I already wish my red was a bit lighter. However, I doubt using the Caruso rollers on occasion would really make much difference. The largest rollers straighten my hair out some, which is why I wanted to try it again.

Ah that's great that they did it for free, I'm glad you went back to sort it out. A lot of people would chicken out and just leave it or attempt DIY. haha
Chestnut brown sounds really nice too, much better than green anyway ;)

I didn't really want to chemically change my hair again but I figured the longer I leave it the more green it'd go and the more likely I'd be to do a bad DIY job, haha!
Thanks :)
Re: Calling all who are growing shoulder to APL!
Thanks for the welcome, guys :) I have about 2-3 inches to go until APL, so I'm hoping I hit it by the end of summer! My usual growth rate is the standard 0.5 inches per month, but I'm spending a TON of time outdoors, exercising, eating very clean and getting lots of sleep, so hopefully it speeds up a bit!
Re: Calling all who are growing shoulder to APL!
I'm sure it'll grow fast, Blondie!
My hair seems to be forever at this length. =( I think I'm gonna try and get a photo tonight and upload it for you all to see what you think! I feel in a hair rut! :(

I know that feeling well. My hair seems like it has just stalled at shoulder (my sides are still shorter though due to out growing from a pixie) and I am getting quite bored with it. I keep looking at a picture of me when I was about 24 (many moons ago) when I had APL hair and so want it to be that length again. I just keep telling myself this time next year I should hopefully be APL-ish.
Re: Calling all who are growing shoulder to APL!
I got my husband to check last night and apparently I'm now at 21.75" (so on course for my half an inch this month) and an inch away from APL, sooooooo close!
Re: Calling all who are growing shoulder to APL!
I finally pulled off a crown braid. It is not purty but it is staying put. Practice makes things better right?
Re: Calling all who are growing shoulder to APL!
^ I sure hope so Serina! I did my first one not too long ago and probably 50% of it was bobby pins :rollin:
I'm in the same boat, joflakes & Louise... I feel like my hair has completely stopped growing. Trying to keep myself busy with new styles (or poor attempts at new styles) and wearing it up.
