I should be joining you guys there in about 2 to 3 months! I seem to be solidly at 20 inches now, and APL is about 21 inches. It's hard to measure because when I hold the measuring tape, I guess I'm holding out my arms weirdly? So it looks like I should have hit it but it's clear I've not hit it when I take a picture shirtless. I figure I'll just call APL when I can see that I'm APL unstretched.
Length shot for February! I managed to get my hair pretty straight. This is a few days post wash (washed on Saturday), and then I wet it, applied some leave-in to weigh down the ends a bit, brushed it to hell, and back while it dried, and used a hair tie to keep the ends from flipping too much as they dried. I think this will be my method for next month as well.
MBL is about 25/26 inches. Fingers crossed, by the end of the year, there'll be hair nearly to the end of the photo. I was about 17/17.5 inches when I cut in August so I think my growth has been decent enough.
Thanks, GrowlingCupcake! Your hair is looking lovely, and oh-so-close to APL!

I think I’ll wait till I next wash my hair, and I’ll take some proper length photos and measure it.
I can’t measure it right now, because it’s up in my new favourite toy - a hair doughnut! Is anyone else playing around with these? They give me the voluminous buns of my dreams!

I love this bun! The poof / softness at the front looks so nice too. I've used a hair doughnut in the past (home made from a sock) and liked how it looks. But my hair tangles when I take them out.
Congratulations on reaching APL!

I'm thinking one more month or so, so two months from when I took that photo! But I'll be the APL-BSL/MBL thread for ages too - I think I saw you say that you expected to be there for a year, and I think it will be similar for me if all goes well.

Your hair looks beautiful and so full, and 3 inches in 6 months is plenty of growth!
Re: Calling all who are growing shoulder to APL!
Hellooooo! I put myself in the chin-to-shoulder group because when my hair is dry it sits around chin length. But then I looked at it wet...yeah I'm calling collarbone length, and I decided it's going to be much more fulfilling to track the stretched length instead of the dry curly length. So I'm VERY excited to be here!

You have pretty much the hair of my dreams. I've tried so many things to try to get more curls (although I never believed I would get to your level of curl). Now I'm trying to learn to appreciate what I have. But wow, I can still admire hair like yours. Welcome!
Re: Calling all who are growing shoulder to APL!
Hi everybody! I just made it past shoulder length after a chin length bob from last summer. Excited grow with you guys!

Does everyone here think I can call it APL now? Or should I give it another month or so? Either way, it's sooo satisfying to see some growth!! :o

(had to tug my baggy shirt so you could see where my armpit is hahaha)
Re: Calling all who are growing shoulder to APL!
So many graduations, congrats all!
My hair has been feeling long so I just brushed it out to try to get a length shot. Now I'm just laughing at myself. I can squeeze my hair under my arm pit while stretched and my head mostly looking straight... yet pictures show my puff barely brushing shoulders.

Sneaky shrinkage! I have much less texture than you, and I even find it hard to get a consistent read on my hair length. I bet yours is looking lovely, though - I love your texture!
