Yeah, I am 5 foot 9, and it has taken FOREVER to make APL. I am there when straightened/stretched, but I am waiting to "officially" call it until it is there when worn w/ my usual waves.

Yesterday I cut off my damaged fluffy ends.:scissors: I will probably do it again in December. My goal is to try to go for no major cuts in 2016. We'll see how that works out. All I know is APL is not in the card for this year.:brickwall
I am between 5'10" and 5'11". I have lost some height so I cannot quite keep up with it. This is why I thought it was great that people here do measure their actual hair length, which is more 'fair'. Lol, and then I realized I can't seem to measure accurately. But I think that has to do with my hair still being shorter. Hopefully that will change as my hair grows.
Pat, good luck for reaching your goal for next year. I totally understand your frustration.
I always whine and wish I was taller but you guys are making a good point, it would take me longer to reach APL if I was taller. I am 5'7 and right at shoulder length in the back. My front ends just barely touch my shoulder if I move my head the right way but not when I am standing up. The hair in the back though is a little below my shoulders for sure. APL is my first goal length and if I am estimating correctly I will be there by March.
I know what you mean... I'm 5 ft 9 and I have a long torso with short legs. Somebodys waist could be my BSL.
Me too with the long torso. On a good note, when our hair is BSL it really is pretty darn long.
SL to APL is a long span for me. I think I'm going to wear my stripey-shirt from my profile pic when I do my update pics. That way hopefully I can see the progress on the stripes, and be able to say, "only 3 stripes to go, only 2 stripes to go." :)
Another tall with longer torso here. It's about year from shoulder to APL for me, with my body proportions, growth rate and trimming. Then a year from APL to BSL.
I am 5 foot 5 inches tall. I measured APL and BSL on me today: APL is 24 inches, and BSL is 26 inches at the top edge and 27 edges at the bottom edge. :) My real goal will be to reach these milestones when my hair is doing its natural thing, whether wavy or kind of curly. My hair might be able to reach APL at the end of 2016...but we'll see what happens with my growth rate and any trims I have done. It'll be a long haul, I'm sure. :)
[QUOTE=Arctic;3084830]I made my first hair video finally, I show how I make a braided bun (and a braid and few other things), maybe the bun is something some of you would wear. I like the bun because it looks complex to the muggles but is very simple.
Here's my blog post about it: http://forums.longhaircommunity.com/entry.php?b=123387

I love your video, you did a fantastic job! I was able to do the braid, which is exciting to me. I think a couple more inches and it will work even better for me. Yay, Arctic.
And I bought more shampoo and condish today. Just say no!!
