I seem to blow through the shoulder to APL thread. This is like my second or 3rd time here...

February 2014, I was at chin. Today, I am 1 inch from APL.

Oh and I just got a new tracking striped shirt for $3. It's ugly but it's got 1 inch stripes.

I still feel like I need another inch to be at APL, either my hair is not growing, or APL is getting farther away (I have put on weight, so it is most possible)

It is also taking me forever to get to apl it seems. My goal was the end of 2014 and it is now almost mid Febuary and I am still like an inch away somehow. It could be because my ends have been breaking off some but I don't use heat on or dye my hair anymore so dk what to do about that. Was hoping for bsl by the end of this year but don't see that happening at this rate, oh well.

I'm still a few inches away from APL, but I'm managing my hair up pretty well. Have you tried the peacock twist or the Gibson tuck? If you can put it up, it's easier to not think about it so often. I know it helps me a lot.

That shirt was made for hairpictures and nothing else. It would be so nice to track your growth along the stripes.

Breaking could be due to old damage. When did you stop heat and dye? It takes your hair a few years to grow from scalp to SL+, so the ends might have still been put through all that in the past.

And I agree, it is an awkward stage. I notice it's slowly getting a little less awkward for me. Stay calm and let grow...

I dreamt that my hair was about bsl tonight, was so strange. I could feel the extra weight of the hair and could touch it easily when reaching for it with my hand behind my back (I was surprised about it even in the dream). Not fun waking up from that :p

I wish! So many layers :( Its definitely a lesson in patience!

I'm continuing to hang around half an inch from APL, it was growing really well and now it's refusing to budge. My son, however, has reached APL, lucky thing!

This is the thread for me! I am back at having short hair again, it's been since elementary school since I had short hair. My first goal for this year is to reach APL. Hopefully I will reach it by the end of the year. If not, I can have more fun on this thread here with other people with shoulder length hair. My hair reaches my shoulders now on the longest parts which is good. It shows that I am progressing to longer hair! After APL my next goal will be mid-back length and then waist! That's for later. I can make a tiny bun with my hair but I feel it pulls a little too much. I'll have to try again and see if it doesn't hurt.
