Here is May's update towards APL!
Omg Death-Within-Me, you are SO close! Practically there! You'll hit APL officially next month I bet :D
Thank you everyone for the sweet words about my braid and growth progress!! :o Nobody but my wife and mom compliment my hair in real life, so it really helps me feel more confident!
Oxalis and Paulownia, , great progress! I remember your hair at neck length, and this almost APL looks amazing.
On my side, I went few days ago to hairdresser to even up my ends and now my hair feels much shorter then I expected. But I am very, very pleased with how she did it technically, so I know it was a good decision. Sooner or later I had to do it before I reach APL. Better before, I think.
Yesterday I've decided to make a slight change again regarding the colour in my hair, so here I am with a lighter shade around my face. I'm actually experimenting with blonde/grey tones that would match my natural haircolour (and greys that I do not want to dye). So far so good, but still, it looks warmer then what I had on my mind. After a month or two, I'll try only a grey toner.
My husband actually almost always has hair longer than mine. It is usually about what we call BSL or slightly longer. He used to not take care of his hair at all, but he has finally been listening to me and my LHC wisdom and it has never looked better! He stopped brushing it, rough drying it with a towel, brushing when it was wet, ponytailing when it was wet and actually using conditioner! Anyway, I wish more men would grow their hair. I hope it becomes more societally "acceptable" as time goes on.
My hair does this too at this length! And I have a similar issue with my under layer being much more curly and the top being way more straight. But, it does get better as it gets longer and also as long as I just keep it well conditioned. I think your hair is looking cute!
Paulownia, your hair is so pretty! I love looking at pictures of it. The wave pattern is so unique. You are so close!
Wow Oxalis! Your braid is looking amazing! It's so great to finally have hair long enough to braid again!
Death within me, you are so close!
double post :)
Of course! I have always admired your hair.
I realized a few days ago that for some reason shoulder length to almost APL always looks like my hair is basically not growing. Anytime I grow my hair out, this is when I ignore it because it always looks the same to me. And then one day, it looks like it finally grew. Im hoping that time is soon. I know its grown because I can put it in a twist in a claw clip and there are no straggler hairs, but to me it looks almost the same. I will do a length picture in June. I don't think I have done one since March! Hoping I will see some visible growth then. I also feel like the ends are getting wispy, and I might need a trim too... Hopefully not.
