Re: Calling all who are growing shoulder to APL!
Very pretty waves, palaeoqueen. It looks like you're gaining length even when some of the length is being eaten up by the waves.
Congrats lunamummy! I hope to see you in the APL to BSL thread soon. :D
It looks like you're pretty close to APL NoRush, definitely less than 4 inches, it's tough to get an accurate estimate with the towel unless you keep it right at APL, and that usually falls about half way down the shoulder blades, at least for me. Maybe you should try drawing a line between the APL creases to get a better estimate.
Congrats on getting to APL firegypsy. :D
Congrats on your growth XcaliburGirl! :)
*hugs back* Thank you CurlyCurves!
Congrats on getting to APL Bunnysaur! I love the dyed ends, they look really awesome. I'm glad rooibos worked for you. :D
Thank you XcaliburGirl and firegypsy! I agree there is some tilting and some angle changes, not to mention my shoulders and my posture are also different.
Thank you Bunnysaur, piratejenny and CurlyMopTop! I see how two people think I have a while to go and 3 think I'm at APL, just like I struggle with myself over whether I hit APL or not, so I'm going to call this length "can I call this APL" and stick around for another month or so until I am totally sure of APL, aka "solid APL". If you will have me lol.
You are definitely past APL piratejenny, congrats! :D
Congrats on hitting APL Tisiloves, your under-layer will catch up! :D
Re: Calling all who are growing shoulder to APL!
Your undercut doesn't look too far away, Tisiloves!
Thanks Roscata! I had to bleach my ends before I could apply the pink dye, so I'll probably trim within the next couple months and be back here again
Everyone's hair is looking great and we're all coming along nicely :D

If I'd dye my hair the growth and roots wouldn't match, because I would probably look at my roots from the front and measure the length from the back.
Mine also grows faster in the back than the front so this makes sense too. I actually thought I was getting more breakage in the front but my fringe is the same and that definitely isn't breaking (it's very short with no bleach left).

I think you're there already!

Here's my length shot. Blurry, dark, unwashed, with weird bun kinks and me incapable of a) holding a towel and taking a picture at the same time and b) my ancient version of photoshop crashing on me and me incapable of using another program to add the APL line... :o
Anyway, I think I'm going to call it APL anyway :D :D. Wet it most certainly is... Unless you guys tell me otherwise obviously :p
Definitely!

And another one!
So many people have made it or come very close this month, I feel like I'm miles behind!
Re: Calling all who are growing shoulder to APL!
Congrats to everyone who made APL! Exciting!
Sadly, I will be here for much longer..
Re: Calling all who are growing shoulder to APL!
Oooh congrats to those who achieved it! Hopefully I'll join you soon. Meanwhile, I'll lurk here.
Re: Calling all who are growing shoulder to APL!
If it helps I'm still going to be here for 6-10 months minimum for the Undercut of Dooooooom.
:flowers:
I'll cheerlead! :cheer:
(But I'm a cheerleader ;))
Re: Calling all who are growing shoulder to APL!
This thread is so motivational! I'm going to do a towel test -well, I used a belt last time, lol- to if it has grown this month. My 'roots' suggest like 2 mm of growth, but it feels like more in my neck and shoulders.
Today I sooo enjoyed wearing my hair down and actually properly feeling it on my upper back and shoulders. It was drying, so I didn't have the kinky flip of doom :)
Happy growing!

Here is my TTT from last month and this month. I don't have the towel pulled very tight in the newer photo on the right.
Maybe it's just because it's me, but I don't see much of a difference. WHY HAIR WHY?
Edit : Just realized the date on the photo should be June 2. D'oh.
Re: Calling all who are growing shoulder to APL!
I definitely see a difference!
Re: Calling all who are growing shoulder to APL!
I definetly see a difference too! It could also be a bit off because it seems like the hair in the first picture is less wet than the newer one, but that can be hard to judge from looking at pictures.
