Ok, good that I'm not the only one. When I get that first APL without the towel, I might even wait for towel-APL, depending on how long my hair would look at that moment. Or with elbows up, good idea.

it's probably because of how the skin folds, regarding of arm position, I have no idea.
Blackgothicdoll congratulation! Your hair looks very attractive, the more it's longer and longer. What is your length goal?

Yes, I was always confused reading that after APL, reaching BLS is piece of cake. In my case, the journey between APL and BLS could be a bit longer then between SL and APL. (small shoulders )
Simpscone, Do you, yourself have a feeling that you're already at APL? To me, it looks you're there! Or maybe you can wait two weeks, just to be sure.

I'm honestly so surprised to see such a difference, I've never noticed my hair growing to this extent before! It's super motivating for the months ahead!

I keep going back and forth on it. I feel like I am but since my measurements aren't quiiiiite there yet I think it's a better practice for me to wait until I get that last half an inch to call it!
And of course, shrinkage eats up some length when it's dry, which is why I'm measuring stretched

I hope you can resist trimming until January, too. For me, it is much the same, I have been a member here since 2009 and I have yet to get much past BSL. It can be a viscous cycle, like you say.
Hopefully this time I can do the same, give priority to length, or at least try.:justy::lol:

What is this shrinkage you talk of?
Yep, I always measure my hair when it is wet, very wet.:p
Re: Calling all who are growing shoulder to APL!
Very nice Simpscone! Definitely grazing the towel! I'm sure you'll be there next month, even though it seems like you're juuuuust there already but it depends on when you want to call it :)

Hi, LongCurlyTress. It is nice to see you here. I have quite a ways to go to reach APL :meditate: so I may as well relax and enjoy the journey.

Whoohoo! I have reached 21 Inches ;) haha just sharing a little milestone here. To official APL it should be 1,4 more inches so with my current growth rate it should be possible to reach this in about 3 months! I'll try the whole towel thing another time.
And LongCurlyTress, I can't see your photo for some reason, but hoping for a lot of growth for you!

Congratulations on reaching a milestone, Waveurly! :applause
I will be thrilled once I make it out of the "teens" and into the "twenties."
