It truly is a long milestone... especially as it is very 'in between'! But it's a fun one as well, I think. APL feels so very different from shoulder. :)

I love keeping up with this thread! How often does everyone do length pictures? Part of me wants to do them weekly but I think that may be discouraging lol

I do it every couple of weeks or monthly if i am lazy.

My hair grows rather fast, so i can see progress in two weeks usually.

Once a month, both measuring my regrowth and pics. I haven't been super strict about pics though as my perceived length varies a lot due to floof, tie dents and overall weirdness. But I try to take a picture at least once a month where my hair lays flat and straight (typically oiled and brushed before wash) and with a clear line showing APL, so I can track visual progress.

The measuring I find very helpful though, and I only do it once a month. Of course I look at my regrowth but I get used to it as it grows, so I never realize quite how much it has grown. :D

I have around 5 inches left to grow till i hit APL, buuut, my texture is now exactly as i wanted it, so i am not worried at all about the distance... Especially since i plan on trimming back in January.

That’s great, being happy with your texture is the most important thing, I think. Then you can enjoy your hair whatever the length.

My hair went nice and wavy yesterday but I was surprised how short it looked :) Can’t have it both ways...

At least the growth shows up in our roots :)

I took a progress picture yesterday while my hair was straight and I was kind of pleasantly surprised! I think I'm closer to APL than I thought (while straight). I may actually make it there by Christmas.
