So it started with my Dr. ordered 100 grams of protein/day diet during cancer, to build back healthy cells. About 4 months ago, I started on a Dr. ordered Keto diet, for blood sugar. So it's almost exclusively meat and vegetables, with very little fruit or grains. But I've evolved it into a Ketogenic Paleo diet. I want most of my foods to be things our ancestors would have recognized. And in the past few weeks, I've been flirting in my mind, with the idea of a carnivore diet. But I'm not there yet.
As I eat more meat, I find my hair being softer, and my nails growing very fast. My skin is healthier too.
It's funny, because in the past I was vegan, even to the point of being nearly 100% raw for a long time. And here I am now, eating so much meat, with, of course, beans and veggies, and I eat dairy too.
The more protein I get, the healthier I look and feel.
Water, orange, multivitamin
Just vitamins today and yesterday. I ate other things too, but I've been sick and haven't had much appetite. Been eating less for my hair (typically I do a lot of protein and veggies) and more for what seems like it won't irritate my stomach.
Vitamins, chicken soup, broccoli and butter noodles. And some water but not as much as I'd have liked, about a liter throughout the day.
Homemade puff pastry beef meat pie (Great Granny’s recipe) :heartbeat

I'm going to spam this thread from now on. I've been eating poorly for a while now, and maybe I can keep myself accountable if I write everything I eat here. I'll come back at the end of the day and edit my comment.
Fried eggs and kale for brunch, almonds for snack, tofu/chickpea curry for dinner. (Also some toast and rice mixed in there, and hot chocolate and chocolate but that was for my taste buds not hair )
Cashews, water, tomato soup. Trying to increase my protein.
Breakfast smoothie for hair and overall health: Whole milk yogurt, oat milk, collagen and acai powder, chia seed and honey. First time adding berry powder to my breakfast drinks, trying to add fruit into my diet, it was a very beautiful color

We normally have a smoothie every day, and I put one raw egg per person in the smoothie. Otherwise any kind of fruit and berries, pomegranate seeds or juice, any other fruit juice, a handful of young spruce needles (now from the freezer), ginger.. sometimes some veggies get thrown in.. lime juice.. whatever I happen to have.
When I make milkshakes, I put raw eggs in them too.
Other than that, I try to eat enough protein and veggies and take good vitamins. Today so far I've had full fat natural yoghurt with honey.
Vendace(?) fried in butter with Himalayan salt. Salmon soup with cream, leek, and broccoli. Coffee, electrolytes, vitamin D, and curcumin.
Oatmeal with nuts, raisins, banana and cinnamon for breakfast.
Two sandwiches with salami, cucumber, boiled egg and mayonnaise for lunch ;)
There will be fried pork loin with french fries for dinner and I intend to wash it down with a glass of rose vine;)

Just had a smoothie with raw eggs, banana, frozen mango and pineapple, young pine needles and some apple juice. Oh, and a pizza, but I'm not sure that does anything special for my hair :p
Lunch was oatmeal with frozen arctic blueberries, raspberries and strawberries. And some butter and a handful of nuts.
Idk if you are aware of this, but raw eggs may actually be bad for your hair. They contain high quantities of albumin which binds strongly to biotin, making it harder to absorb (when cooked, the albumin is denatured, so it's nbd). In low quantities it is probably no big deal, but frequently eating raw eggs could negatively influence biotin levels. In extreme cases, biotin deficiency can lead to hair loss.
Bringing this up for general interest rather than to criticise, just fyi! You do you, and I'm sure the odd raw egg won't hurt. I learned this in first year biochemistry many moons ago...our lecturer was very derisive about the scientific accuracy of the Rocky films series, hahaha
Sausages with sauerkraut and fried tomato. Skyr with lingonberries, kiwi, and heavy cream. Vit. D and electrolytes.
Cheesecake:cheese:!
Same on menu yesterday and today: yogurt/collagen/acai/chia smoothie, quinoa/spinach/turkey meatballs for lunch, and vegetarian chili w/cheese for dinner.
Sweet potato, meat, salad, egg, water, supplements
I will be eating spinach, mash & meatloaf.
I've been trying to eat enough salt. I've been having lots of cramps in my feet lately, and I found out that it might be due to too little salt and lots of water in my menu (eating salt stopped my cramps). And I read that salt has something to do with growing too (more/ enough salt, more growing). But I know too, that too much salt is bad.
Make sure you are consuming a good-quality salt with natural minerals. My favourite is pink Himalayan salt. :) And don't worry about consuming too much - your body is built to tell when you've had enough as things will simply taste too salty then. Wonderful system!
Will be having vendace fried in butter today!
Peanut butter toast, chickpeas spinach and quinoa for lunch, roasted squash brussel sprouts and chicken for dinner later.
Quiche and chia/fruit ‘pudding’
Nachos Night! :yumm:

peanut butter and banana, oatmeal, eggs on toast
I try to stick to a clean, protein-rich diet. I also try to maintain a good intake of oilseeds and occasionally take multivitamin supplements.
