First attempt at my dragon fruit layer cake and it is a huge success.

Recipe:
Simmer chopped vegetables and peeled chestnuts (I used ten chestnuts) for around an hour until all is soft, blend well, add pepper and salt to taste, then add milk, whatever amount you want.
For the vegetables I used potatoes, onions, a little crushed garlic, carrots, a leek, a turnip and a quarter of a pumpkin, peeled.
Gives you a veggie soup with a slightly sweet and nutty flavour.

Yeah, the word cake is used very loosely here, in our language, cake basically means any dessert/snack, whether it’s sour, sweet or salty, soft or hard, crispy or malleable.

Very interesting! I loved the texture, seeing it I mean. Hope you post more desserts. I think you got some really interesting ones; ones I have never seen before. :)

I've never had butternut squash raviolis before, but it was a nice lunch for an autumn day.

Lunch, two key elements of standard Chinese birthday food are egg(s) and noodles, one for the birth and one for longevity.

Chesnuts….now there is something I’ve never had but wow, sounds delicious and super healthy for the hair. What do they taste like….is there anything they can be compared to, in terms of flavor? Your soup sounds yummilicious. :yumm:
Ok today I’m having homemade beef tomato soup and one of my favorite things in life….fried garlic zucchini. :heartbeat

Re: What did you eat for your hair today?
Today my hair is getting lots of nourishment. I had a breakfast skillet that included bacon, Swiss cheese, mushrooms and spinach. Topped with a fried egg. For lunch I had a bowl of yogurt with some Keto blueberry granola on top.

Re: What did you eat for your hair today?
Continue to practice my egg-slicing technique, I changed the angle and they are all round and adorable. The purple onion is so pretty with the diced carrot and ears of corn and peas. It might be subtle but I am proud of the five pumpkin seeds on top of my square tofu. Oh and the green cornucopia? That’s over-ripened balsam pear, also known as bitter melon.

Thank you, here’s today’s lunch:
For some reason purple always stands out in a dish, maybe because it’s not a common color among food ingredients.
https://cdn.discordapp.com/attachmen...7/IMG_2158.jpg
But to me it’s pretty accessible like purple cabbage, purple carrot, dragon fruit, and onions.

Re: What did you eat for your hair today?
Extra creamy salmon soup the last couple of days. And a whole lot of kiwi because I’ve been craving it. Just trying to disregard the allergic reaction that follows, lol.

More purple today, I am proud of my egg flowers. I am eating meat, eggs and onion almost every day because protein and sulphur are good for hair health.

Re: What did you eat for your hair today?
I ate lots of protein so far, peanut butter toast, chicken breakfast sausages, and lots of water. Packed for later, acorn squash, kale, quinoa, and cheddar cheese.
