Fatty pork ribs, slow-cooked in the oven for a total of 1.5 hours, with extra butter on top. :yumm: Milk jelly. Coffee with heavy cream.

Re: What did you eat for your hair today?
A rainbow sandwich: buttered light rye bread with shaved ham, red cabbage, sprouted seeds, Swiss cheese, carrots and tomato.
Then chocolate.
Chocolate is very good for hair. It's science. Probably.

Re: What did you eat for your hair today?
i made hot chocolate with an addition i read about in a very old cookbook - an egg yolk... it makes it richer and the egg taste isn't noticeable at all, will try it in coffee next.

I've been interested in warm egg drinks for a while. How did you prepare it? Does the egg not begin to cook?

Re: What did you eat for your hair today?
Oatmeal with banana, oysters, rotisserie chicken, steamed broccoli, mashed potatoes with almond milk, and a handful of nuts for snacking

i used a pretty simple recipe:
break about 60 grams of the lidl 200-gram dark cooking chocolate into a mug, cover with milk (and/or sweet or whipping cream) to 200 ml. add a pinch of salt.
microwave until it's hot, then stir with a fork to break up the chocolate chunks, and microwave again until it boils up. whisk in 1 yolk and it's done.
the yolk doesn't get boiled so it stays creamy and if you don't add the white, there's no egg bits or anything in it. the cookbook mentions boiling the yolk in it for a very short time for some recipes (and also using wine instead of milk for hot chocolate) but no experience with that.

Wow, Baanoo, that sounds a really lovely, and yummy, way for the neighbourhood to bond.
Yeah, I had a cheese and Marmite (Google it if you haven't heard of this Savory spread) sandwich for lunch. Yep.

Re: What did you eat for your hair today?
Last days I've been eating red meat. I had to take it back to my menu because veganish diet made me finally feel depressed and anxious and I read that can happen to some people. And I read too that red meat is good for hair. Iron, B12 etc. At least I'm feeling a lot better.

Hee-hee! I only usually 'report' my dinner when I have had something exceptionally yummy.
You don't get to hear about all the cheese sandwiches and cans of tuna salad.

A nice big Marmite and cheese sandwich.

Re: What did you eat for your hair today?
Homemade vegetable soup:- Lots of olive oil, (all the veggies are chopped into approx 1cm pieces) onion, ground paprika, potatoes, water, pumpkin, turnip, carrot, pinch of mixed spice, and some salt. That's the recipe right there! I fry the onion, paprika and potatoes first for a while until they get a heavenly roasty smell, then add boiling water and everything else. Simmer for around 20 minutes. Mash with a potato masher. Done. I like it so thick you can stand the spoon up in it!
Salmon, again.
Oh, and a Turkish Delight chocolate bar for dessert.
-
Re: What did you eat for your hair today?
Sushi 🍣 and eggs for breakfast, fresh from the coop.

Ooh, 'fresh from the coop', Eastbound&Down, it really is too bad we don't live next door to each other, isn't it?
I had fried egg on top of loads of hummus with brown rice.

Re: What did you eat for your hair today?
I've only had a yogurt for breakfast today (it's still morning here), but I did take my vitamins! I have had iron syrup, a multivitamin, vitamin D, and vitamin B (I'm quite deficient, thanks to years of poor diet and being a 'hot chip' vegetarian and vegan).
-
Re: What did you eat for your hair today?
Yummmm, fried eggs with hummus!
-
Re: What did you eat for your hair today?
I had sweet potatoes and broccoli with dinner tonight!
