Really? Do Texas people hold a grudge against beans? :) Is there anything else that sets texas chili apart from the "regular" one?
I came across some recipes that finish chili off with a beer (I won't be trying that) and some swear by a secret ingredient - dark chocolate. That one is tempting, but my chili was so good I was afraid of ruining it with chocolate.

Really? I have read on English websites that ground beef is one of the cheapest ways to buy beef, and it is true where I live as well. One kilo (is it 2 pounds?) costs about 5-6 € in a supermarket (but that is of questionable origin), and I paid only 6,50 € at my butcher´s, who sells premium locally pasture-raised meat.
Today, for my hair I ate sardines, veggies, broccoli, leftover chili. Not for my hair I ate an undisclosed number of gluten&sugar-free banana muffins with PB.

Ironically, although New Zealand is famous for its happy grass-fed beef and frolicking juicy little lambs, most of it gets exported to other countries and so the price is higher in the local supermarket for good beef.
I had to buy nice beef this time because it was for a meal with my parents. Parents always know all about good meat, of course! :toast:
Today for my afternoon tea I had Earl Grey tea, and cow feta cheese with plump juicy figs. :o
Re: What did you eat for your hair today?
junk and delicious green olive dip
Re: What did you eat for your hair today?
Oatmeal with banana and lingonberries, coffee, sandwiches with boiled eggs, ham and mayonnaise. Fried fish with potatoes and tomatoes.
Nettle tea.
Will probably have some yoghurt with nuts and raisins in the evening and drink white tea;)

Mmmmm, this is one of those times when we read someone else's post about food and think "Oh, I wish I could go visit their house for dinner!". :p

I feel the same every time I read Ylva's post here:p.
That would be an awfully long trip, but of course if you ever feel like visiting Sweden, welcome ;)

That's very kind of you, I will keep it in mind if I ever get to Sweden! :o

I had a nice French-toast style scrambled eggs sans the toast, along with custard, molasses, bananas. Then some leftover bone broth, and broccoli with yogurt&tahini dressing.
Re: What did you eat for your hair today?
I love reading this thread! It gives me meal ideas.
I recently started working out a bit (as opposed to never working out at all), and I got excited about trying to fit in a lot more protein each day to support the new activity.
But the recommended amount of protein feels very different to what I'm used to (I'm trying to hit 150g each day, which means eating 30g five times a day). I was like wow I do not feel like eating meat 5 times a day, so now I'm on a roll with thinking of my meals like this:
Shake meal - protein shake with strawberries and a cup of tea in the morning
egg meal - 5 eggs scrambled with spinach
yogurt meal - a ton of greek yogurt with honey
fish meal - I bake a filet of tilapia and eat it with salad
meat meal - I fry a burger and eat that with a salad
And my god it feels like a lot of food, but I feel good! And I'm wondering what all this protein will end up doing for my hair growth

Same here, Abacus, I get ideas from this thread too. My favorite one recently was the high protein Banana Pancakes (One mashed banana, two eggs, pinch of cinnamon and cook like regular pancakes. I can get three pancakes out of this amount of batter) recipe from Kelp. Yummmmmmm. :o
