Egg and avocado. Bacon and broccoli with cheddar and goat's cheese. Dark chocolate with hazelnut. A few raspberries. Coffee with heavy cream. Electrolytes, vitamin D3, and B1.
Seems like avocado's on the menu today. Just had a hard salame and avocado sandwhich on sourdough. And beer for some extra protein for my head - brain, not hair.
Porridge with peanut butter powder and milk
1 banana, 1 satsuma, 1 pear
A salad with quorn and pumpkin seeds
Brocolli with tea - burrito
I had an open faced egg, bacon, and cheese sandwich, which I had with my morning coffee and my multivitamin. Lunch was mac and cheese with a brat chopped up in it.
Boiled eggs with salt, which broke my 21-hour fast. Two small tortillas (leftovers with minced meat, lettuce, and corn). Skyr with heavy cream. A big chunk of mozzarella cheese. Coffee with heavy cream, and rosehip tea with ashwagandha. Electrolytes, and vitamins D3 and B1.
For some reason, I struggled to get in the calories today, but I tried to make the most of it anyway. I don't even feel like eating dark chocolate now like I usually do in the evening. :( Oh well, it's an extraordinarily early start for my fast, I guess.
ETA: Forgot the skyr.
Scrambled eggs with sausage and brocolli
Salad with quorn and pumpkin seeds
Sweet potato mash and sweetcorn with tea.
Berries and grapes
Champignons, bacon, and goat's cheese. Mozzarella cheese. Dark mint chocolate. Green tea with nettle and ginger, and rosehip tea with ashwagandha. Coffee. Electrolytes, and vitamins D3 and B1. Fasted for about 25 hours.
I'm still on the berries-kick. I am currently out, but hoping to get some tomorrow!
Today for breakfast I ate a chocolate chip baked bar with some cashews, my morning snack I had a protein & probiotic chocolate shake and a medium banana, and for lunch I had a BBQ seasoned chicken melt with 2 servings of non-starchy vegetables. Like, brocolli, cauliflower, and carrots. Then, for my late afternoon snack I had a cup of Greek yogurt, a medium apple, and a cup of non-starchy vegetables, and then for dinner I had been Bolognese with 2 servings of non-starchy vegetables. Lastly, for my night snack I had a chewy chocolate fudge bar.
Hmph. Day 3 or 4 of booze, cigarettes, and coffee. I had eggs the other day but I'm defo off my feed. Good ideas in this thread!
A pancake with honey, fried egg, and coffee with my multivitamin.
I got raspberries from the store today, 2x 250grams. The last couple boxes they had! I will eat those in a couple days. Totally. One little case just got washed and is out for me to nibble at! I don't know what's up, but I needed to eat more fruit, that was certain.
Today I ate fish and salad :) oh and blueberries!
Made a vegetable Lo Mein, since my surgery I am so low on vitamins so I figured this would help. Also taking a multivitamin :flower:
Pulled pork and goat's cheese. A cheesy oven sausage. Skyr with heavy cream. Dark mint chocolate. Coffee, and rosehip tea with ashwagandha. Electrolytes, vit. D3 and B1.
I had an avocado, fish and rice bowl!
Fried salmon with potatoes, peas and lemon&dill sauce.
Jumping on this thread since I want to be more mindful of my eating habits.
Yesterday I ate a chicken ham sandwich with cheese, baked potatoes with chicken breast, pesto pasta, a banana and grapes.
Banana oatmeal with banana slices and some cinnamon, coffee and multivitamin.
Yesterday: Pork and sauerkraut. Skyr with heavy cream. Dark chocolate. Coffee and tea. Electrolytes, D3, and B1.
Today: Boiled eggs and avocado. Champignons, bacon, and goat's cheese. Dark chocolate. Coffee, and tea with ashwagandha. Electrolytes, D3, and B1.
I had Hawaiian pizza and I'm going to have some leftovers too! Probably not much nutritional value but hey! Some pineapple is better than no pineapple, and surely that's got to do something for the general vibrations of the body.
PS: my vitamin D supplement and an odd Men's One a Day Over 50 vitamin.
Yesterday I ate a chicken ham sandwich with cheese, whole grain bread with tomato sauce, olives and spinach, oatmeal with yogurt, strawberries and honey and some rice with chicken breast.
Fried egg, toast w/apple jelly, sausage links, coffee, and a multivitamin. Tonight I'm making chicken thighs, corn, and baked potatoes.
Porridge with chocolate philadelphia and the scraps left out of my mixed nuts
Salad with avocado, quorn chicken and pumpkin seeds
Lentil curry
Boiled eggs, sauerkraut, and goat's cheese. Mozzarella. Dark chocolate, of course, with almond milk and heavy cream! Coffee, and rosehip tea with ashwagandha. Electrolytes, D3, and B1.
Absolutely! I'm not sure about the protein value of peanut butter, but it sure is yummy and filling!
I eat an egg a day for my hair. I also take cod liver oil every day. Outside of that --- I would love someone on here to make me some recommendations. I have never thought too deeply of what I eat as a contributing factor to my hair quality/growth.
It certainly does contain protein, but just because something contains protein doesn't yet mean we can utilise it. That depends on the specific amino acid profile. Peanuts, like most legumes, are low in methionine, so combining them with, say, eggs, meat or fish, would increase the amount of protein you can utilise by complementing the amino acid profile. Whether that makes for a tasty combination or not is not something I will comment on, though. :D
Bwahahaha! This is great. I can’t decide if I want to picture something more normal (like chicken satay or peanut butter pasta) or a crazy Doctor Who kind of mashup. Probably more the latter!
I munched on arugula, basil, and cilantro while I watered the garden. I told myself I was only eating one bite of arugula to see how it was faring, but somehow it turned into an outright feast.
I absolutely love peanut butter, but I know even though it is high in protein it is hard to digest, especially for me. I do eat either eggs or fish just about every day, just not in the same meal, hahaha. Dh thinks I am nuts sometimes about eggs. I do really like them. Today I ate 6. I think I am a bit of a pig. Today large bowl of oatmeal with a handful of dried wild plums, wild harvested everlasting pea shoots sauteed in butter, large bowl of sweet potatoes, also covered in butter, small dark chocolate bark with peanut butter, and 6 boiled eggs plus D3, iron, and magnesium.
Yesterday I ate a chicken ham sandwich with cheese (seems like this is my go to breakfast for the last few days), baked sweet potatoes for lunch and two wraps with eggs and an yogurt-based sauce. I also had a big bowl of strawberries and grapes.
I will absolutely eat cilantro as a salad, yum!
The betrayal I felt when I found out that Matt Smith ate coconut pastries with custard instead of actual fish fingers... it's something I tried and thought was decent, but I'm always up for weird combos like that.
Though now I want chicken satay, darn it!
Collagen powder 🤢
Well I read that parsley is a great source of iron. Also iron deficiency is one of the most common reasons for hair loss apparently (not dealing with that, knocks on wood)
Recently, my absolute crazy obsession is tabbouleh, Arabic salad made from parsley, mint, tomatoes, bulgur, lemon and other seasonings. I can't get enough of that thing! :silly:
What?! Oh Matt, I’m disappointed in that. I wanted him to lean in 11, hard. Such an amazing character. And I agree, it’s always worth trying weird combos to see what works!
Today’s hair food: granola on Greek yogurt, and another munching of cilantro/basil/arugula.
I will give him credit that he went back and tried it! Also love him, all the doctors are good, but he was the first one I *waited* for and got to watch as episodes were being released, so he has a special place in my heart. Chameleon Circuit did a bunch of songs for his plot line, if you wanna check it out, I even learned one on ukulele.
Food for tonight is still being decided, but I'm thinking about oatmeal with added chia seeds, and maybe something with peanut butter... perhaps some apple slices... Earlier I had lentil soup!
