Re: What did you eat for your hair today?
Amongst other things, I ate 12 prawns/large shrimp with two different kinds of dipping sauce (tomato chili and mayonnaise lemon & parsley). This made me very happy. And I like to think that my hair was happy, too! :yumm:

Er, because it's Easter Friday I ate smoked salmon and cream cheese on Hot-Cross Buns. It's okay but would have been better if I had eaten them separately. Yeah, spicy raisins and salmon.... not a super great combination.

I´ve always liked the combination of salty and sweet. A toast with honey and ham, for instance. Or very common and very delicious, a toast with marmalade and cheese, any kind, soft or hard.
Today I´ve had chicken broth with pieces of meat and lots of veggies. Also quinoa with custard, poppy seeds, butter, honey and banana. And a piece of homemade chocolate.

Oh, same here, Nefcerka! I love pineapple and ham or pineapple and melted cheese. A lot of different fruits go well with cheese, don't they? Ooh, especially goat cheese and figs. Okay, I'm hungry now... :o

Re: What did you eat for your hair today?
(I, too, love sweet and salty ;) )
Tonight, DH cooked a steak on the stove and we had it with a big salad (cabbage, pea shoots, pear, toasted soybeans and quinoa, a handful of crumbled cheese, shredded carrots, julienned basil, shallots with a sweet onion vinaigrette) and boiled fingerling potatoes.

Yesterday, I had chicken wings. And mämmi with tons and tons of heavy cream. But not together with the chicken. :D
Today, I'll be having a big chunk of pork.

Glad to hear you thought that! Usually, people don't find it very appetizing! I think mämmi is an acquired taste, as is the tendency for these "weird cultural dishes". :D

You might be interested in a very ancient style of cooking we have in New Zealand for special occasions https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/H%C4%81ng%C4%AB
I have had Hangi and the pork and chicken were sooooo tender and succulent they melted in your mouth, and I saw children eagerly eating Brussels sprouts (something that doesn't usually happen in real life) because they were just so sweet and soft. The downside is that making and cooking a Hangi is VERY labour intensive and also takes many hours. :o

Traditionally, potatoes are cooked similarly to this way where I live. You start a nice big fire, and once it dies down, you bury potatoes wrapped in tin foil in the remnants of the fire, and wait...
Today, I ate though had no appetite. Some nuts, seeds, millet, yogurt, fruit, veggies, beans...

This is also done in Finland! It's a special summer activity, I'd say. I've made potatoes like that: made a fire in my mom's FRONT YARD (just dug a hole in the driveway and made a fire, lol), burned it for a time, then buried the potatoes beneath the embers and left them there for some hours.
Yesterday, I had salmon with sauce, asparagus, broccoli, and Brussels sprouts. :yumm:
Also, why is that ONE smiley you're looking for ALWAYS hiding somewhere in the list?! I swear, always!! I couldn't find that hungry dude for the life of me, but good thing I remembered the actual code!
