BCL is close. I'm still not sure if I will reach proper classic this year. I'll have to re-evaluate in the summer. :)

What a stunning photo Ylva! Your hair and texture look amazing and the back drop is magical.

I'm replying to your post late, but welcome to the thread! :) That is definitely easily doable, and you can even afford to trim.

Thank you so much, BerrySara!
Re: Classic by Yule/Christmas 2020
Still here!
I need 2.5" to get there, yay!!! I will trim a bit during the journey, but even with trims I'll be classic by autumn, and full classic by Yule. Can't wait! :cheer:

Is it too late to join the thread?
My hair is 3 to 4 inches short of classic at the moment, so it should be easy for me to get there by the holidays. I also signed up for the No trimming 2020 challenge, so between the two I should be good!
Re: Classic by Yule/Christmas 2020
I’m so excited for this year
Classic has been my goal since years !!

I hope you reach it 2020! Good luck to you & happy growing. Your hair looks absolutely fabulous! You took (are taking) good care of it; it shows!
Re: Classic by Yule/Christmas 2020
I'd like to join. I originally was hoping to make classic by the end of 2019. I was on track and all was looking good until the last few months of the year when my growth rate slowed down to almost nothing. It's growing again and I think I should make classic sometime around April this year. I was so disappointed that I didn't make classic that I let a friend put extensions in. She had been after me for about a year wanting to extend my dreadlocks. I always said no but this time I caved. She was originally going to extend down to knee but we ended up going just about halfway between classic and knee.the instant growth and weight has been a lot to get used to but kind of fun.
So I'm not counting the extensions as my true hair I'm still a couple of inches away from classic.
My plan is to trim a half inch a month off of the extensions until they're all trimmed off.

Oooh, such long dreads sound really epic! Welcome to the thread!

It's time to do a length check this weekend and take a monthly length pic. I'm hoping to be at BCL soaking wet.
Re: Classic by Yule/Christmas 2020
Thank you Ylva. I love my dreads but seeing everyone's beautiful flowing hair makes me miss loose hair a bit.
Re: Classic by Yule/Christmas 2020
Updated length shot for February! I should be at BCL next month. I suppose it looks okay right now when it comes to possibly reaching classic by the end of this year. And I don't mind if I don't get there as long as I'm somewhat close. :)
