Tailbone length
I did feel for my tailbone when I learned about milestones  Edit: in light of realising my previous misunderstanding, I should clarify I was feeling for the end of it. I didn't quite twig that it started higher than that.
To me the top of the patella counted as 'in the knee area', I always viewed the crease as the actual milestone. And I did wait until it was traversing my ankle bone the second time, but first time round I did call it when it was 'close enough'.
That does actually make sense though :hmm: I always thought the coccyx was just the one bone on the end but no, it's a set of 4 vertebrae - my confusion stemmed from it being called tailbone rather than tailboneS. That's going to be difficult to change my view  but it seems the most sensible thing to do.Quote:
Consequently, when you reach that big bone (the sacrum), and you move just below that to the top of your tail bone, you should call it tailbone length.
I have realized in the course of this thread that I completely misunderstood the milestone. I have been measuring by the end of my tailbone--I have been considering my hair "at tailbone" and I'm maybe 3-4" short of classic.
My TBL, as in: the end of the spine, is not exactly in the middle between BCL and classic, but rather closer to the the BCL - like some 5 cm below. And yes, I looked in the mirror when figuring it out, but fully clothed, for the record. :rolling:
Don't want to put in the specifics, but yeah, I don't belong to the TBL equals BCL crowd. ;)
This is such a funny thread! Maybe we should provide pictures of where exactly TBL is:laugh:
I mean, every body is different. I don't like using "butt crack length", so tailbone length for me starts... Where my tailbone starts. I can (slightly)feel the beginning of it, so TBL is from where it starts to where it ends. In my body, specifically, there's a good limbo between TBL and classic, but there's no need to be absolutely certain about lengths.

Btw, since I mentioned hating the term BCL, I'll leave you guys w a story: the most common way to say "butt length hair" in Brazil sounds exactly like you're saying "butt hair"/"hair on your butt" :justy:
