I was going to react like, "Ah! That's such a silly generalisation!" but I can't even deny it, the statement is true.

2. put up in microfiber towel briefly to catch dripping water, then if I don't have time to style yet, put in claw clip while still very wet
3. styling:
a. Wear a big towel, microfiber side up. I use a beach towel.
b. Spray down if not wet enough; needs to be almost dripping.
c. Six sections, 3 top, 3 bottom. Coat each with more curl cream than I think I need and use a Denman style brush with every other row removed
to brush with tension up and away from scalp. Then scrunch the section with the towel I'm wearing.
d. Once done with brush, scrunch in mousse for hold all over, mostly the top layer that frizzes.
e. Put up in a microfiber hair wrap for at least 10 minutes. Take down and style bangs. Then let air dry or diffuse.
4. At night, put in a giant scrunchie on top of my head (pineapple, as it's called). I do that thing where I wrap the whole thing around my hair and pull one loop through the other. It will stay because it's big and velvet. Run the humidifier all night for the sake of not only my hair, but my dry eyes and 49-year-old skin.
5. Morning: undo the scrunchie and scrunch out any leftover crunch. Also fluff the roots. And fix those ever-messy bangs (wet, brush, and finger coil, usually). If oil/serum/cream is needed on any spots, scrunch in with or without spraying water in your hand. It just depends on how it is.
On third and 4th day hair it's a judgment call as far as wetting down again, washing, or putting up. If I put up or braid, I carefully detangle with some oil or detangling spray. It can be done on dry hair, but be gentle.
This is very similar to how I style my hair, but my method is a wee bit different. I WCC instead of CWC, but I've been curious about CWC so maybe I'll try that next wash.
Normally I'll put my curl cream, mousse, and gel in while I'm still in the shower and fingercomb it through before plopping it in a turbie twist. I also do either a pineapple at night, or in a claw clip roll on the top of my head. I find that when I wake up though that my texture is almost always messed up, so I spray my hair down with water and re-scrunch it to reset everything. That usually works, but I get a bit of frizz that way too, so maybe I need to add a bit more product to tame the poof. Or maybe a satin night cap is in order, I always hear great things about them.

Ylva: Sometimes generalsations actually fit... :-P I like the tar too, though, and I use the shampoo myself every once in a while.
Random hair thought of the day is that I noticed my hair is not far from classic now. I am so happy about it, because I was starting to loose my patience. Late pregnancy and post partum has really made my hair get a lot less attention. Showers have to go really fast. But at the same time, there is probably more neglect going on, and I suspect its the good kind of neglect, since my hair is growing along just nicely. I was at BCL in February, so I actually think things have gone quite fast...

Indeed it is.

What product(s)/line(s) are you using? I used some items a long time ago-don't remember not liking anything, just had other things to use up, too. I wanted to try Skala in the past, and now you have me looking at the conditioners on Amazon.

My dad used to use that when he had hair and it always stunk up the washroom. It wasn't too strong on his body though.

Only one more month til I do another microtrim and take my next length (ends) shot. I can feel the thickness travelling down little by little and get excited to measure the progress. It's hard to wait, but I think I like the two month schedule I'm on. The changes are more apparent.

To add to this I just bought two different versions of a satin sleep cap, the traditional showercap type and a lined beanie one. Both have an adjustable strap, so here's to hoping one of them stays on my head at night because I sleep like a rotisserie chicken

Random hair thought -
When I was little, my mom had a big basket of nail polish. It felt like every color of the rainbow, and when I got old enough she would let me go through it and pick out colors for my nails. It was the same with her collection of big, colorful 80's-style earrings. Today I let my 5-year-old wear one of my hair sticks, she picked it out and of course it was the sparkly rainbow one :) It took me nearly 30 years of my life to find out about hair sticks, and I'm glad they're something my daughter will be familiar with a lot sooner. I'm hoping it will be a special thing we can share, like my mom and her nail polish, and it will make some good memories for her later

This is really sweet! I'm sure she'll have great memories just like you, I know I absolutely would have loved something like this :)
