Hm, my instinct is that hats are somehow different than scarves and other cloth coverings? I think maybe having a brim to deal with. (Of course knit hats blur the line). It may be useful to keep them separate.

I don't know if my beanie with a whole counts as a hat, but I have meant to post this pic somewhere here since this autumn when I knitted it. It's almost the only hat I had used this winter, and the yarn reflects light, so it's a bit extra safety too.

^ I agree, and think they should be separate.
And here's my baseball cap bun:

It doesn't have the same amount of sun protection as a hat with a brim all the way around, but when I do my bun through the back it certainly won't be blown away by the wind. :p
Re: Show us your Hat Hair!
Good find! I searched for “hats” and “hat hair” before I made my thread...and of course “head covering” didn’t come up in the search. Might be worth keeping the threads separate unless there’s a way to bring it up n search with a “hats” search?
I’ll leave this one up to the mods :)

I love how baseball caps make room for hair at the back AND stop it blowing away...why don’t I own any? Love it with the bun, BTW.

Counts in my book - I love how the colour picks up the colour of your hair :)
Re: Show us your Hat Hair!
I haven't worn a "hat" since I was first growing out my hair pre-ponytail length. I found baseball caps extremely damaging. But I do derive benefit from head covering.

Maybe I'll learn to wrap a cheche one of these days
Re: Show us your Hat Hair!
@Feral I love it!!! I made myself an ear warmer in February and it helped a lot... but now I'm tempted to make one like @Suortuva because the little bun hole is so cute, and it looks like it'd keep the whole head warm! Guys is it too late to do some winter knitting when we're in spring, lol! :knit:
