Yes! Absolutely! I can't deal with high maintenance. I need to not fuss with my hair as much as possible for time and health (hair health and my happiness about it).

The layers are really annoying me though z

Yes! I need length to get weight. I also need trims to get thickness but with I'm too desperate for length to trim.

I hope that, at a certain length, it suddenly seems to start growing really fast because there is enough weight. Who knows - I always maintained at somewhere between APL - BSL with trims most of my adult life.
I hope so too! I usually don't last much past shoulder because my ends get thin and scraggly and haircutters always seem to take off a year of growth.

stardust lady, this is my texture when I comb it when wet and lots of finger combing to help it dry. The ends still hold into some wave.
Wow, that IS some well behaved hair. Very gorgeous.

Re: Calling all who are growing shoulder to APL!
My hair feels so short these days! It's definitely growing just fine, but I get frustrated because it's still so far away from APL. I guess it's time to wear it up all the time until i forget about it.

I think it will always feel short because hair growth is such a gradual process. You instantly get used to the length because it's so time consuming. Putting it up is a good idea though.
