^^ Yes, that's what I call this hairstyle (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rFsTlLH3Uu4) - that's what it looks like. I found the video, and thought it looked very neat, so of course I had to try it. :D
I thought it looked very nice, and rather periodish, as well, with my pretty Edwardian flower hair pin. :D
It is quite comfortable, and has held up very well - I used Amish pins to fasten the "rosette" and some bobby-pins around the lower edge and sides to be sure that the wider curve of the braid stayed in place.

So pretty... How did you manage to do it on yourself?

That's very pretty! :D
The video looked good too and it was easy to understand how she did it. I might try it sometime!

Thank you for the compliments! :flower:
And as for how, Lapushka - well,I did manage. ;) It was a bit tricky, but certainly manageable. :)

I gave it a try today but it ended up a bit (a lot) messy. It's a great looking style and I think with more practise it could turn out really cool. I found it worked better to braid when not looking into a mirror. :)

That looks great, Kizuna!
It's the same with me - when I'm trying out an interesting hairstyle that incorporates French, Dutch or lace braiding, my fingers get all confused if I look into a mirror!:D
