Hello again everyone =)

It's been about 6 or so-less months since I started here on the LHC and since then I have continued to grow my hair without any setbacks or submissions to today's "Social Norms" for the male population to have short hair. I still get a few harassing comments from people, but It has been amazing to see most people compliment it. Funny thing is that I am hearing more men compliment it rather than just the woman. Blows my mind. Sometimes I'm not sure how to thank them without feeling bizarre, LOL.

At any rate, I have not forgotten the LHC and I still look to achieve my goal to 48".

Here's a recap of my old photos:

First Photo was Me without facial hair and Military look about 2 years ago

Second photo is short with facial hair about 7 days no shave.

ol here's a Military photo back in 1999.. hahaha I look dorky..

But as you can see.. I have always had short, militant looking hair.. I'm trying to rummage through my photos.

Oh, here's last year when I was in Nursing School

Congrats on your progress! It would be a shame to wear your hair short all your life just because "society" expects that from you. Happy growing!

I've also had short hair my whole life and growing it out was one of the best decisions I've made in my life. Your hair is longer than mine, though, but I'll get there someday :D

Your hair color is gorgeous, btw, and longer hair suits you really well. Happy growing! :)

Thank you all! Its been hard, but with persistence, you can achieve anything you want to. :D

I thought it would be a problem being that I'm a Nurse and going on for CRNA school, but so far.. nothing.. I was hoping to challenge a confrontation but thankfully it hasn't happened..... yet... LOL!

I think you look cute with both short and long.

My husband is a longhair (about BSL) and he does it because it is low maintenance and because he likes to buck society's norms. Good for you for being brave and going against the mainstream!

Keep on growing, your hair looks great!

I personally LOVE long hair on men. My BF has long curly hair, he'll sometimes get it cut and even though it's still long by standard, I get so upset. lol.

Congrats on the progress you have great blonde hair!

As I was looking at your pictures I thought you strongly resembled my brother. He is also a nurse, and he recently cut off his long hair. I don't think he ever had professional issues with his hair length. He'd probably still have the long hair if mother nature wasn't having her way with his hairline. The longer it got in the back, the less there was on top. :D

My husband had mid-back length hair when we met, with perfect spiral curls... ;) When I cut my hair off, he decided to follow suit and hasn't looked back. Some guys look really good with long hair (like you!), but short just suits his bone structure so much better.

Good luck growing it out to your goal! Lookin' great so far.

A couple years ago my husband had hair to his butt. Long curly fire red hair. Then he had to cut it to get a better job. Recently he had been growing it back out and got to about your length, then had to cut it again for another job interview. It's so frustrating!!! I wish people wouldn't judge other people based on looks alone. I guess, because we are younger we will just have to wait until he is really established in his company before he can have tailbone length hair again. More power to you for growing it out!!!!

Sweet! Looks great on you...
It sort of reminds me...In the local emergency room where I am at, there is a doctor who works in there and has hair probably to his crack. He keeps it in a braid...Not sure if hes still long haired, although I have a feeling he is.

Luckily I haven't been to the ER to find out from wrecking my dirt bike in 5 years!

I, again, cannot express the thanks for all of the compliments that have been made here. I find as I travel this world, now a long haired man, that words cannot be crafted to give true and ultimate understanding of what it means to have long hair or to grow it proudly.

When gazed upon from negative eyes, I felt a yearning inside that burned to express the words that would be sent forth to explain as to why, but very little came out of my mouth. With more and more research why I felt a fire inside of me that could light the greatest flame ever seen with human eyes, I came to understand, with the help of my new found passion in the medical field, that hair is connected to our limbic system and our nervous system as well. Do you know what this means? This is an outsourced extension of our ability to feel and connect with our world on the outside of our body. As though we could send and receive signals and such from our outsourced nervous system.

I dear not go on, for I don't want to bore the minds of anyone. I will however respond to the Thor comments and the Gladiator comment as well. I'll have you know, I took up sewing my own scrubs because I didn't like the way bought scrubs fit and when I was told that I was good, then I went ape****...I told myself I wanted to sew my own Greek Tunic, just to see if I could do it.

Now I apologize for anyone here that can sew really well, for I am only but an amateur at this, but these next photos are from October of last year. So when I seen those comments, I just sat back in awe as to finally someone else seeing what I feel accustom to (inside my heart), a different era per-say. ;)

I would like to make more outfits that resembles clothing or armor like Game of Thrones and such to see how I look. But without further a due, here is my very first Greek Tunic. The Design is entirely out of my head.

I need to wear this again and take new photos this year with my hair that is longer and better. I've always been very self-conscious about the way I look physically, but hey, not everyone can be handsome or even photogenic. So I don't care anymore about the way I look, I know I'm ugly, but in the eyes of my children, I am a King.

THE TRUTH ABOUT HAIR AND WHY INDIANS WOULD KEEP THEIR HAIR LONG

This information about hair has been hidden from the public since the Viet Nam War .

Our culture leads people to believe that hair style is a matter of personal preference, that hair style is a matter of fashion and/or convenience, and that how people wear their hair is simply a cosmetic issue. Back in the Vietnam war however, an entirely different picture emerged, one that has been carefully covered up and hidden from public view.

In the early nineties, Sally [name changed to protect privacy] was married to a licensed psychologist who worked at a VA Medical hospital. He worked with combat veterans with PTSD, post traumatic stress disorder. Most of them had served in Vietnam.

Sally said, “I remember clearly an evening when my husband came back to our apartment on Doctor’s Circle carrying a thick official looking folder in his hands. Inside were hundreds of pages of certain studies commissioned by the government. He was in shock from the contents. What he read in those documents completely changed his life. From that moment on my conservative middle of the road husband grew his hair and beard and never cut them again. What is more, the VA Medical center let him do it, and other very conservative men in the staff followed his example.

As I read the documents, I learned why. It seems that during the Vietnam War special forces in the war department had sent undercover experts to comb American Indian Reservations looking for talented scouts, for tough young men trained to move stealthily through rough terrain. They were especially looking for men with outstanding, almost supernatural, tracking abilities. Before being approached, these carefully selected men were extensively documented as experts in tracking and survival.

Yakiman Indian boy

With the usual enticements, the well proven smooth phrases used to enroll new recruits, some of these Indian trackers were then enlisted. Once enlisted, an amazing thing happened. Whatever talents and skills they had possessed on the reservation seemed to mysteriously disappear, as recruit after recruit failed to perform as expected in the field.

Serious causalities and failures of performance led the government to contract expensive testing of these recruits, and this is what was found.

When questioned about their failure to perform as expected, the older recruits replied consistently that when they received their required military haircuts, they could no longer ‘sense’ the enemy, they could no longer access a ‘sixth sense’, their ‘intuition’ no longer was reliable, they couldn’t ‘read’ subtle signs as well or access subtle extrasensory information.

So the testing institute recruited more Indian trackers, let them keep their long hair, and tested them in multiple areas. Then they would pair two men together who had received the same scores on all the tests. They would let one man in the pair keep his hair long, and gave the other man a military haircut. Then the two men retook the tests.

Time after time the man with long hair kept making high scores. Time after time, the man with the short hair failed the tests in which he had previously scored high scores.

Here is a Typical Test:

The recruit is sleeping out in the woods. An armed ‘enemy’ approaches the sleeping man. The long haired man is awakened out of his sleep by a strong sense of danger and gets away long before the enemy is close, long before any sounds from the approaching enemy are audible.

In another version of this test the long haired man senses an approach and somehow intuits that the enemy will perform a physical attack. He follows his ‘sixth sense’ and stays still, pretending to be sleeping, but quickly grabs the attacker and ‘kills’ him as the attacker reaches down to strangle him.

This same man, after having passed these and other tests, then received a military haircut and consistently failed these tests, and many other tests that he had previously passed.

So the document recommended that all Indian trackers be exempt from military haircuts. In fact, it required that trackers keep their hair long.”

Comment:

The mammalian body has evolved over millions of years. Survival skills of human and animal at times seem almost supernatural. Science is constantly coming up with more discoveries about the amazing abilities of man and animal to survive. Each part of the body has highly sensitive work to perform for the survival and well being of the body as a whole. The body has a reason for every part of itself.

Hair is an extension of the nervous system, it can be correctly seen as exteriorized nerves, a type of highly evolved ‘feelers’ or ‘antennae’ that transmit vast amounts of important information to the brain stem, the limbic system, and the neocortex.

Not only does hair in people, including facial hair in men, provide an information highway reaching the brain, hair also emits energy, the electromagnetic energy emitted by the brain into the outer environment. This has been seen in Kirlian photography when a person is photographed with long hair and then rephotographed after the hair is cut.

When hair is cut, receiving and sending transmissions to and from the environment are greatly hampered. This results in numbing-out .

Cutting of hair is a contributing factor to unawareness of environmental distress in local ecosystems. It is also a contributing factor to insensitivity in relationships of all kinds. It contributes to sexual frustration.

Conclusion:

In searching for solutions for the distress in our world, it may be time for us to consider that many of our most basic assumptions about reality are in error. It may be that a major part of the solution is looking at us in the face each morning when we see ourselves in the mirror.

The story of Sampson and Delilah in the Bible has a lot of encoded truth to tell us. When Delilah cut Sampson’s hair, the once undefeatable Sampson was defeated.
