Hello, my name is Peggy and I collect Antique/Vintage hair combs....

That said and behind me I would like to know if anyone here shares the same interest and knows of a good place where you can find hair styles that are best for these combs, or can offer some of their own styles?

I find myself sort of tied into a wide reperatoire of, oh, three styles - Topsy Tail braided twists, the upside-down twist thing and a form of Gibson. Occasionally I manage a French twist - hard to do with the hair at my length - and sometimes a French Braid into a braided bun or tuck.

Guess that makes 5 styles, doesn't it? I'm more versatile than I thought! ;o)

Any other suggestions, please!

While I'm not into combs, I think a lot depends on the hairstyle that the comb is going to decorate. That said, you're welcome to peruse my hair album or blog to see if there is any style there that interests you.

Please send me a message if you need more info.

Here are some of the styles I have done with my lovelies. :D

This was my Constitution Day updo this year - a braided bun.

Flipped ponytail, where the pony has been braided into several braids.

Sock bun

Another sock bun, with accent braids

Another bun with accent braids (I think it may be a Nautilus bun)

Another braided bun

Hope you get some ideas ;)

I'd do a braided hair style as demonstrated.
