Ok we all know heat is a big no-no if you want extra long hair. But every now & then there is some special occasion that you just cant resist. How do you help your hair to recover? Check it into rehab? What treatments do you use?

Well, there's no way to fix any damage. But I find that moisturizing my hair usually helps it feel softer.

Well I'm trying to avoid too many commercial products. Usually I find coconut milk will hydrate well. & I avoid shampooing for a few days & either CO or bear with greasies for a couple days.

I confess I straightened last night and soon as I got home I did a big ol' slathering of coconut oil before bed & CO'd today. Not feeling too bad :)

I do a protein treatment before and after, but not a heavy one. I like Joico K Pak Intense Hydrator
