I noticed that it was one of Cinnamon Hair's favorite products, so when I went to Sally's I bought the 8 oz. size, not the 16 oz. in case I didn't like it for whatever reason.
I washed with the L'Oreal Nutri Gloss shampoo.... (not quite ready to do a CO wash just yet) and just used a little of the new conditioner. As I'm typing here with my hair air drying, so far my hair feels pretty awesome! It's very soft, very very little tangles and it smells really good.
I'm going to give it a few more days to see if it's a thumbs up for me...the best part about Sally's is that even if you use something, and want to return it, you can get your money back. :)

I was at Sally's this weekend & kept looking at that. I came really close to getting some, but didn't. I can't wait to hear how your hair likes it. :)

Well....I very gently blowdried (after most of it dried) to see how it would look with this new conditioner, and my hair still feels soft and it's very shiny, too. I think this is a keeper! Like I have mentioned before, you can return it to Sally's if you don't like it....even if you have used it. (that is the return policy at my local store, at least)

I've been using this as a leave in.It seems to work miracle's on coarser hair types.I use just a tiny bit on wet or damp hair and it works great that way . I think people with baby fine hair would have to be careful this might be a bit too heavy.

Oh I'm so glad you like it! Thank you for posting, it makes me feels good to know something I recommended was a success.
I agree about it giving lots of shine. :inlove: It's good for everything: regular conditioning, leave in, mister bottle, deep conditioning. That stuff is hands down my favorite hair product.

Be careful if you use it in the shower, it makes the tub/floor super slippery!

Man, I used to love that stuff. I forgot why I stopped using it, but it's probably because I found something else I liked for cheaper. It's definitely a good product thought.

Didn't do anything for me, but I really think it depends on your hair type/etc. I have very oily scalp, and this didn't seem to clean it. John Frieda's is working the best and giving me great shine too :) The Brilliant Brunette collection.

Oh, I never put a good conditioner on my scalp. Shampoo from ears up, condition from ears down.
If you were trying to CO with it on your scalp, I see how that would be a problem. It's way too heavy for a scalp CO.

ZOMG! I have a new favorite! Thanks Cinnamon Hair for your recommendation! Soft and silky - almost like I've done an EVOO treatment! Wowser!

I have been using this product for a while now also and it really is great. There is no way this would make a good CO conditioner. I have fine hair and it doesnt weigh my hair down at all, but I have never used it as a leave in.

I had to blowdry my hair today (job interview), so I decided to use a cone-y product. I have a big ol' tub of Silk Elements MegaSilk moisturizing treatment that I got after I colorfixed my hair. So I used that today on the length, and then blowdried and put on some aloe/ camellia oil.
Honestly, there is a reason I am cone-free now-- my hair feels alright, but not great. However, I did notice that the ingredients list for this and the L'oreal Moisture one are REALLY similar. Here's a link to the MegaSilk (http://www.sallybeauty.com/on/demandware.store/Sites-SA-Site/default/Product-Show?pid=SBS-373221&dwvar_SBS-373221_webSize=16.0000+OZ)-- it's on sale for 6.99 (for 16 ounces!), so it might be worth a try if your hair likes cones. I remember that I liked it a lot back then, it made it very silky and tangle free. And it does smell reeeally good. :D
L'oreal Nature's Therapy Mega Moisture Ingredients (from Sally's website):
Water, Cetearyl Alcohol, Behentrimonium Chloride, Glycerin, Amodimethicone, Cetyl Esters, Sodium PCA, Fragrance, Methylparaben, Trideceth-12, Sunflower Seed Oil, Chlorhexidine, Dihydrochloride, Cetrimonium Chloride, Yellow 5.
Silk Elements MegaSilk Moisturizing Treatment (from the packaging, it isn't listed on the website):
Water, Cetearyl Alcohol, Behentrimonium Methosulfate, Glycerin, Amodimethicone, Cetyl Esters, Sodium PCA, Fragrance, Methylparaben, Propylparaben, Trideceth-12, Silk Amino Acids, Sunflower Seed Oil, Chlorhixidine, Dihydrochloride, Cetrimonium Chloride, Yellow 5.
Honestly, I suspect they are the same product, manufactured by the same group, and the MegaSilk has Silk Amino Acids added. The products are too similar for it to be a coincidence.
Ingredients that are in both products are bolded.

How much did you guys pay for it? I stopped by a Sally's and checked it out. It's over $12 for a small tub of it. Is that a normal price or is the Canadian store try to rip us off?

I just bought the 16 oz size for $11.99USD. I have the Sally's card, so I think that saved me $1USD off of the normal price for this product. I got the larger size because it was less expensive per oz than the smaller size, but I can't remember how much it was for the smaller size or even what size the smaller tub was.

Quite awhile ago somebody else suggested this, so I went out and picked up a tub of MegaSilk. It was a bad idea. It made my hair feel very waxy and barely even conditioned. I get better conditioning from a regular ol' Suave conditioner. I used MegaSilk once and threw the rest into the trash.
I don't know what they do differently, because although the ingredients are very similar, the two are definitely not the same product.

Something else to put on my list this week when I get paid.....it appears to do wonders for you all that I can't wait to try it out myself. :)
Is that something that can be found at a supermarket or drugstore? Or can you only order on-line.

You can pick up Mega Moisture at any Sally Beauty Supply store, Shanarana. I've also purchased it online in the past. :)

For me this product is a hair saver! hair loves it and so do i. I highly recommend it to anyone who has long hair and likes cones. I bought the biggest tub and will be returning and buying some more for stock, since it depends on Sally's when and how long they carry it where i live.
My hair is always soft and shiny and a few days ago when i was at Sally's there was this woman who asked for recs for her just colored and very dry hair. ( below BSL but not quite to waist, straight and very dry. Hair looked like she had dyed and then got streaks. felt awful. ) the sales girl recommended some other product but knowing how good this product is i told her to try this instead, and also told her to try Hask products if her hair needed protein, even wrote down the addy for this community so she could find other products and recipe's for her hair. as always i am sharing this community since it has been so good to me.
I also found it at South texas beauty supply, but have found it cheaper at Sally's.

I also had the same reaction my hair was so waxy I only used it once on my hair. I used it to shave my legs with, it was really good for that.

I used the entire packet and left it on under a shower cap for 10 minutes while I showered...my hair is just about dry now (I was air drying) and it doesn't feel any better that if I had CO'd with just regualr V05...and it feels NO WHERE NEAR as good as the conditioner that comes in the boxes of Natural Instincs (hair color). Its almost worth it to buy the box just to get the conditioner and throw out the color! So I will NOT be buying Mega Moisture again...IMO: too expensive and not worth it at all. I could have bought 2 or 3 (depending if it was on sale) bottles of V05 for what I paid for a one ounce pack of Mega Moisture!

This conditioner didn't work well for me either, at least not as wells my regular DT by MoroccanOil. I've only tried it once so far. Will have to give it another go before I decide for sure. I may end up returning it to Sallys or maybe trying it as a leave in if it's not too heavy for me for that use.

Unfortunately, it didn't work for me either. :(
I bought 2 tubs because I just knew it was gonna be the best thing EVER!
Well, no.
My hair felt soft and e.x.t.r.e.m.e.l.y. coated. It was kind of gross. It didn't seem to penetrate my hair, but after reading Cinnamon Hair's recommendations I agree that it would be great for detangling. :agree: But it doesn't seem to do anything else for me.

I LOVE this stuff. :inlove: I'm almost finished with my first tub of it. I don't use it all the time, but lately I've been adding just a bit in with Garnier Triple Nutrition, and my hair is super soft. But I live in a very dry climate and my hair is dry anyway.
I know this sounds silly, but you have to make sure you wash this out. It's so thick and can be difficult to get rinsed properly. I tend to over do it with leave-ins anyway, so I can't imagine using this as a leave in. Probably wouldn't work for fine hairs or those that hate cones.

I rinsed it all out, it did nothing special for me :( good thing I only bought one packet. I remember trying it a few years ago and doing the heat thing too that they suggest in the directions - and that dried my hair out worse. Back then I thoughtbit was the heat. But now I know it's just the product! Is it because of the cones???

Good thing you only got the packet then. :) It may be the cones, or it could be the sunflower seed oil which can coat or even the glycerin--this can also be waxy and coating. One of those three I'd imagine. If I had seen the ingredients before I tried it (didn't look before I bought ) I might not have bought it. I'm surprised it works so well for me.

Oh well, I bought the OLD Aussie 3 Minute Miracle, I will try that next time...and of course, I will stick with my V05 and Suave. And now I will probably not try Sunflower Seed Oil!
I think you can order it online if you can't get to a Sally's, but be careful and order one packet to try it before you pay $10 plus s&h for a big container...

I just bought this today. My go to conditioner is Giovanni's 2Chic ultra moist, but I've bought that 3 times in a row and just out of boredom, I wanted to try something different. I got it because the reviews of it are really good. I'm kind of nervous though. Lately I've been staying away from heavier silicones and parabens. This has both of those. Also, I was surprised that this has isopropyl alcohol in it. I'm not sure how my hair will react to that. For some reason it doesn't list it in the ingredients on the sally's site. Did they change the formula or something? After I bought it and looked at the ingredients, I was like "hmmm uh oh" but we'll see. I plan on using it tomorrow for the 2nd C in my CWC.

I've bought the Nurturing Creme in the past many times for using as a conditioning treatment after I dye my hair. It's pretty heavy and I don't like the green apple scent but it does leave my hair soft. Lately tho I've been using Ion Extreme Moisture Creme which seems even richer but not as waxy/oily.
